Happy, Happy, Happy (John Luke, Duck Dynasty)

Chapter 5

*Madi POV*

Once I got out of the shower I decided I was just going to leave my hair naturally straight. After brushing my wet hair out I decided to do my makeup. I did my eye shadow in a smoky eye, with brown eyeliner, and a little mascara. I added a nude lipcolor with a little blush. Once I was satisfied with my makeup I looked at the clock to see that it was already 6:30. I went to my walk in closet and picked out my plain black dress. It had a heart  cut out of the back, and I paired it with some maroon pumps.

As soon as I walked out of my room I heard someone knock at the door.

I walked downstairs and to the door to open it up to the one and only John Luke. His mouth immediately dropped. “Wow” Is all he could say. “You look beautiful!”

“You look quite handsome yourself” I winked at him. He was wearing black slacks with a white button up shirt.

“So you ready?” He asked, disturbing my admiration.

“Of course, let me just go grab my purse.” He led me out to his truck and opened my door for me and helped me get in. He ran over to his side of the truck and hopped in and began driving.

“So, where we goin’” I asked him.

“Well it wouldn’t be a good date without a little suprise.” He just laughed at himself.

Before we knew it we were pulling in to the parking lot of the local Cheesecake Factory. He got out of the truck and was opening my door before I could even get out. As soon as we were both out and my dress was adjusted he grabbed onto my hand. We walked into the resturaunt, and John Luke sweetly said “We have a reservation for 2, under John Luke.”

The waitress said “Right this way..” and began walking to the table in the corner that was set for two, with a candle in the middle. I began looking at the menu and was eyeing the cesar salad.

“Anything look good?” JL asked.

“Yeah, the cesar salad! What are you looking at?”

“The prime rib.”

Once the waitress came back I order first “I would like the cesar salad.” and John Luke followed saying “I would like the prime rib.” The waitress nodded her head and walked away. Soon our food was here.

I immediately began stuffing my face (I know so ladylike).

Once I was about halfway done eating John Luke began talking. “So are you single?”

“Of course, I’m a single pringle for life!” I laughed.

“Are you sure about that?” He said with a wink.

He then playfully stole one of my croutons, so I stole a bite of John Luke’s mashed potatoes.

“That was soooo good!” John Luke smiled, while I looked at his empty plate.

The waitress came back and said “Can I get you too any of our famous cheesecake?” Me and John Luke had discussed our faviorite cheesecakes and decided to share the Oreo. While we waited for the cheesecake he put his hand on mine from across the table and I said “So do you think you will move past Emily?”

“Hopefully, I think I already have.” I blushed and before I knew it our cheesecake arrivied.

Me and John Luke decided to be cliche and fed each other the first bite, just like they do at weddings. He also put a little whip cream on my nose, causing me to laugh. And soon he had some on his cheeks. He decided to lick the whip cream off my nose so I licked his off his cheek while giggling.

Once we were done eating John Luke paid after a fuss between us since I wanted to pay for myself and we headed out. He immediately grabbed my hand.

“Why don’t we head back to your place and watch a movie?” He asked.

I nodded and we headed toward my house.
