Little White Lies

Chapter 2

*Livs POV*

I wake up, and grab my bag to head towards the shower. I quickly shower, and head back to the dorm to find Maddie gone. I figured she was with her new boyfriend, Zayn. Ever since she and him started dating they spend almost Every day together. I can't help but feel left out when they *she I correct myself* leaves me to be with him.

It was Saturday, and I had no plans for a change. I was going to go get my hair done but that was canceled when I remembered I was broke. I desperately needed a job. I swapped out spending for earning, and head to the nearest Dutch Brothers to see of they are even hiring.

I walk up to see a familiar face. It was the blonde drunk guy from Liams last party. Niall, although drunk was sweet, and funny. As I approach the coffee house he turns around, and started to greet me when the girl working shouted that he forgot to take his change. He retrieves his money, and heads towards me once again.

"Hey, it's Liv right?"

"umm yeah Niall right?"

Our conversation was short and awkward, I was relieved when he rushed off because he was late to something. We say our quick goodbyes and I approach the counter. I walk away with an application, and I sit down at the closest table to full it out. It doesn't take long, and when I bring it back up the manager is there, and wants to do a interview right then, and there.

Apparently they we're desperate for employees because I hired quickly, and was told that I would be given a schedule that was planned around my college life. I was relieved to have a job, and headed back to campus.

I rush into the room, and shout for Madi.

"Guess who has a job?!"

"you?"

"Yeah I'm so excited."

"Congrats, where is it at?"

"That Dutch Bros down the road off Campus!" I practically yell!

"hey you should get a job too."

"Funny joke." She says a little too seriously.

It takes me an hour to finally get her to agree on applying, but I somehow managed to do so.

We arrived at Dutch Bros, and went strait to the window for an application. She took longer to fill out he application, but she still finished within minutes. We hand it in, and the manager instantly offered a interview. I watched from a distance as her interview finished with a hand shake of acceptance kg a job. I rush over with excitement.

"See was that so bad?" I asked playfully on the short drive back to campus.

"I guess not, I'm just excited to work together!" She admits.

We walk up the stairs, and head down the hall towards the dorm room. We bump into Zayn on the way, and he apparently just came from our room.

"Hey you guys should come to the party with me tonight!" Zayn says in attempt to stop us.

I think about our day, and how boring it was, so I decide to tell him that we would go back to our dorm to change, and meet him there.

Madi quickly changes into a short black dress, and adds more eye liner to her already dark make-up. She quickly does the same to me before I can resist.

"Try to have some fun tonight Liv!"

"I do have fun!" I respond way to defensively that I mean to.

"Relax I mean don't just stand around talking occasionally let loose!"

Her comments were making me way to mad then they should. I make myself get over it, and throw on my shortest dress. Before we leave I re-curl my hair, and put on some lipstick.

By the time we arrive to the frat house it was 10:30 and it already stank of cigarette smoke, and alcohol. We walk in, and quickly are handed a drink. Half the people are already drunk, but that's nothing new.

By 1:00 we both are a little tispy, and sit down on the old couch next to a couple of guys. One of them happened to be Niall. I quickly make the decision to sit here, and under the influence makes me a little flirty. He is about the same level of being drunk as I am, and quickly starts a conversation.

"So how are you enjoying the party?" He nervously asked.

"It's alright,what about you?" I quickly answer.

We start to talk about our classes, and found that we have a couple together. Although going well it didn't last long, we were interrupted by Louis who wanted us to play truth or dare.

"Let loose" Madi's words repeat in my head, over and over.

"sure why not!" I answer.

It starts off with a couple of regular dares, and then it gets to me. One of Zayn's friends dares me to kiss Niall. I don't really know what to do, I mean I have been dares to kiss people before of course... But none of them were Niall. Before I know whats happening, the alcohol takes control, and I am kissing Niall Horan.

The kiss was short, and sweet, and when it ended I was quick to get the attention off of me, and I asked Madi truth or dare.

"Dare!!" She answered drunkenly.

"I dare you to"

I was interrupted by Liam yelling that the party was over, and someone had called the cops. I instantly panic, and hustle to the door like every other drunk college student. Luckily,Madi and I make back to the dorm before anyone shows up, and we both crash still in our dresses.
