13 | HIS SISTER'S KEEPER
"Octavia!" Bellamy shouted, his worried eyes bounced over almost every tent in hopes of seeing his sister in one of them. He held his torch up, having been the second time of searching these tents, Bellamy was crushed. He had looked every and now he didn't know what to do.
Bellamy turned to the only person he felt like he could to. Raina. The curly haired boy made his way to her tent, opening the flap to see the Kane still awake and staring at something in her hand. She looked up at him and even in the dark, Bellamy could see the sheet of unshed tears in her eyes.
"Hey, you okay?" Bellamy asked, his brows furrowed in deep confusion and concern. Raina blinked the tears away and nodded rather fast. "Of course. What's up?"
Though it was strange, he shoved it aside, Bellamy remembered why he went to her. "Octavia's missing. Have you seen her?" He spoke, though Bellamy tried to hide it, she noted the worry in his tone.
Raina stood up. "No. I haven't." Not for awhile, actually. Though she kept that part to herself for his sake. "Have you checked camp?"
"I've checked everywhere." His voice slightly broke. "She's not here."
"Okay..." Raina nodded. She knew how much Octavia meant to him. "I'll help you look for her. " Bellamy's face washed with relief. "Where have you looked?"
"The tents. The drop ship. Everywhere." He responded and Raina waved her hand. "Let's go over again. You check the drop ship and I'll look through the other tents." She suggested. Bellamy nodded appreciatively. "Thank you."
Raina smiled at him. "No problem. That's what friends are for, right?"
—
"Hey, everybody, gather around and grab a weapon." Bellamy ordered as he dropped a blanket filled with knives and other makeshift weapons. "My sister's been out there alone for twelve hours. Arm up." He took a second to look over at Raina beside of him, "We're not coming back without her."
Raina watched as everyone picked up their preferred weapon. Bellamy eyed her. "Do you have some sort of weapon, Raina?" He asked. She reached into the waistbelt of her pants and showed Bellamy the knife that was tucked away safely.
"Ironically, Murphy made it for me before shit went down." She huffed and dropped her stare. Bellamy took notice.
"You miss him?" He asked, even saying it out loud for some reason made his stomach twist and he wasn't sure why. Raina seemed to care for Murphy, or at least she did when he was hung.
"Murphy? Miss him?" She rose a brow. "No. I just wonder where he is now."
Raina watched as Jasper picked up a knife and she smiled at him encouragingly. "We need a tracker." Bellamy stated. Raina turned back to him and rolled her eyes. "You could've just asked that I asked him."
Despite the situation, Bellamy couldn't help but smile though it disappeared almost as fast as it came. Raina headed towards hers and Finn's tent, (though now she was sure she was kicked out since Raven was here) and peered her head through.
"Hey, spacewalker. We need you." Raina playfully winked at the boy. He turned to Raven, told her a quick goodbye and stood up.
