"(Y/N)!" Your father shouted, "GET YOUR LAZY ASS DOWN HERE AND MAKE ME A COFFEE!"
You were used to your father being like this. He wanted to drink his problems away. So did your mother. That was until she ran away with another man. You hated to think of your mother. She was a nasty woman to you.
Hard as it is to believe, she abused you more than your father did. You felt it was your responsibility to watch for your father. You felt pity for him. He was working hard but had to keep up on his work.
Yes, he underestimated you.
Yes, he calls you a slut daily.
Yes, he has an anger issue.
You felt like you had to save him. You weren't a victim of abuse. You felt like his mother. Having to watch over him everyday. To you, he was just a whiny child. A very whiny child.
You saw him when he was sober. He would cry. He would vent to you. He rarely ever hit you. He only yelled. You never yelled back. It would just make it worse.
You remembered the first time you talked back to him.
"(Y/N), you're such a slut. I can't believe you wouldn't cook this an hour earlier. I have work to do."
You stood up with pride and said, "you should have gotten in here earlier you dick."
His face turned to pure hatred and loathing. "Take back what you said you little bitch."
He shoved you against the wall. "No."
That was the first time your father hit you. You had to put foundation on just to make it less noticeable.
He was never like that when he wasn't drunk. He was caring. You two talked and went out for a night on the town almost every weekend.
You would go to See's Candy and look at all the buildings.
You wanted to live in the city. You lived about two hours out of the way.
It was your dream to work there.
"(Y/N)!" Your father broke your thoughts.
"I can't take it anymore. I can't take it anymore." He repeated.
"Dad? Are you ok?"
He flipped a chair and resumed,"DAMNIT, NO!"
Tears streamed down his face. He was at his point. The breaking point.
"You have been so kind and caring. I don't deserve you." He held his face in his hands. "I never did."
"No, Dad." I put my hand on his shoulder. He was sober at the moment, I wanted him to remember this.
"I don't deserve you. You aren't bad father. Do you know how many times I needed your help? Was anyone else there? No. It was you."
He started to tremble. He was breaking. This was the first time I've seen him cry like this. He was so helpless. But you loved him. No matter what he did.
No one could take him away.
"(Y/N), I have to tell you. I have,"
"Cancer"
"..."
"You'll be living where you always dreamed you'd be."
"Goodbye." He says as he put a gun to his head.
"You are my one and only." He whispered.
I rushed to stop him but was too late.
