Those pictures we took at our rendezvous

Those times we held each other’s hand together me and you

Are the moments I wouldn’t trade for any treasure

You brought me to the highest peak of happiness I couldn’t measure

We were inseparable like the sun and the sky

We were so strong, our foundation I couldn’t decipher why

And I dreaded that day when I had to let go from our grip

I had to get out of your world where I don’t fit

Remember that day when you kissed me in the forehead handing me a rose

That same night I told you I didn’t love you but with my fingers crossed

I let go of something that wasn’t meant for me

Even if meant me walking barefoot on jagged stones back to reality.
