"Lydia, sweetheart! Come down here. I have a surprise." My mom yelled from downstairs. I shut my Mac Book Pro and walked out of my room and downstairs to see my mom and dad standing in the kitchen.
"What's the surprise?" I asked confused
"Well, you know your Uncle Simon?" My dad started and I nodded.
"Well we know how much you love music. So we talked to your Uncle... and you have an internship at Syco Music!" My mom squealed in excitement.
"Oh my gosh thank you!" I screamed before engulfing them both in a hug.
"You start tomorrow. And since it's summer and the building is in London, you will be staying in a flat complex near there. Happy 18th Birthday, hun." My dad smiled at me.
This was an amazing start to a great summer! (:
