Chapter 12: The Family Dinner UPDATED

Kourtney's POV:

So I have had some time to let this pregnancy news sink in a little bit.. I was up all night thinking of ways that I could bring it up but I still have no idea how I am supposed to tell Scott about the news.. my last pregnancy news didn't go so well. I mean I'll just have to get it over with. He will be over to get Mason and Penelope at 1:00 to bring them out for breakfast, so I may just tag along and see if I could find a time to tell him.

-1:00 pm-

"I'm here!" Scott yelled.

"Yeah we are in here!" I yelled out

"Hey guys I've missed you so much!" He said to the kids as he picked up Reign.

"They've missed you too.. Listen I was wondering maybe today could be a family thing? Like me you and the kids?" I asked patiently awaiting his response.

"Umm.. I mean yeah I.. we would love that." Scott responded.

I have got to admit I was relieved, I'll need to get used to having him around again I guess... Scott the kids and I hopped in the car.

"So where to?" Scott asked sounding confused yet excited.

"Well how about we go to that place we used to bring Mason when he was younger.. what was it called again?" I asked him.

"Joey's" he said while smiling.

"Joey's that's right! How could I forget." I replied.

"We went there like what? Once a week?" He asked while still smiling.

"Must've been. I don't know why we ever stopped." I asked truly not remembering why.

"You were pregnant with P. I was angry. But now I can't imagine life without her." He replied sounding let down.

"I know Scott don't worry" I replied, contrary to what people think. I do know Scott has changed.

"Alright kids we're here! Mason we used to come here all the time when you were younger and hey! now you're old enough to play in the arcade." He said to Mason. 

"They have an arcade?! Come on P!" Mason said while pulling Penelope's hand and jumping out of the car.

"Just wait Mase have some food then you guys can go". I told him.

"Awww ok." Both Mason and Penelope said in unison.

We get in and get seated and the waitress comes and asks us what we would like to drink.

"Hi! I'm Mia I'll be your waitress today! What can I get to drink for you guys today!" The waitress asked us eagerly.

"Umm I'll take a lemon water, and they will both have apple juice." I said while pointing to Mason and Penelope.

"Alright and for you?" Mia asked while looking in Scott's direction.

"I will have.... an ice tea extra lemon please." Scott asked while skimming the menu

"Alrighty! I'll be back with your drinks and I'll take your order." Mia said as she walked away

"Thanks". I told her as she walked away.

She came back with our drinks. "So what can I get you guys to eat today?" She asked

"Ladies first! Kourt and P's turn first right Mase?" Scott asked.

"Right!" Mason replied.

"I'll get the seafood tacos no cheese or sour cream." I told the waitress then turning towards Penelope. "What would you like P?"
