The Marauders and The Hufflepuff

Chapter One

  Platform 9 3/4 is full of Witches and Wizards as their children pile onto the train heading to Hogwarts. The best school that has ever been, while all students are welcome to Hogwarts some feel more welcome than others. Erin Luvin and her younger half sister Jodie Dunnelson who is a first year, ready themselves to board the train. Erin's Mother, Father, and older step brother Carver Dunnelson wave Jodie good bye and hug her while they nod a goodbye to Erin. She grabs her stuff and packs it into the train and holds her pet rat, Jack, while she helps her sister onto the train.

                                                                      Erin's POV

                "Jodie are you ok to find your own place to sit or should I stay with you till you find one?" I ask my younger sibling. She smiles up at me and shakes her head "Thanks Lu but I can find my own seat, I'll come sit with you after I get Hufflepuff with the sorting hat" she says sweetly. I smile at she and pat her head, "if you get Hufflepuff Mom and Ber-.. Dad won't be very happy with you. Hope for Ravenclaw or maybe Slytherin but really would rather Ravenclaw" I say and send her on her way. I walk down and past friends filled the compartments and glared at me as I walked by.

 I saw a bright light come from one and I walk over to it. The Marauders! I smile and look at the silly boys. I take a deep breath and  look at Jack before opening the compartment. They all look at me, Remus smiled nicely yet a but uncomfortably, James and Sirius looked confused and Peter didn't seem pleased. "Can we help you?" Sirius says, I open my mouth but no words came out, I began to sweat and I turn and run away. 'great now they'll never be my friends' I think to myself. I find an empty compartment and sit alone for the 4 years in a row. 

                                                                       Third person POV

    After Erin ran the boys they joked about how weird she was and how random that was. James said she was probably one of the many girls that were in love with him, Remus said she probably didn't realize who they were and thought they were her friends by mistake. Peter was the only one who knew Erin knows every little detail about them. "She is Erin Luvin, she has been stalking us since the first train ride, her older brother is Carver Dunnelson. She is a Hufflepuff" Peter says. "Well her being a Hufflepuff really explains a lot but how has she been stalking us?: James says and Peter lists a few of many times she followed them around the school, most of the time it was pointed out by Remus that she had the same classes as them most of the time and that why she seemed to be around all the time. James started talking about ways to prank her and Sirius wan't so sure.

    Mean while on the other side of the wall Erin listen to them make fun and talk about her. She shook her head as a single tear leaked from her eye but she wiped it like it didn't happen. Jack climbed up her torso and curled up on her shoulder and rubbed against her neck comforting her. She pet him softly and gave him a chunk of her cookie. She soon changes into her robes, she took of her glasses and put them on the seat. She forgot and sat on her glasses shattering the. She groans and shakes her head. " I can already see how this year will go" she whispers to Jack who you could tell was sad his master wasn't happy.

                                                                                  Erin's POV

 "At least I got you little buddy, I am really glad mom didn't let me get that owl I was looking at. You much better than any old owl plus not everyone has a cool rat like you buddy" I say and let him  jump in my pocket. I open the compartment as the train arrived at Hogwarts and look to see Remus. I put my head down and shove past them, I completely forgot they were next too me. I jump off the Train and hurry to the carriages to avoid the Marauders.

      This is the first year I haven't trailed closely behind them, I felt vulnerable. I quickly drink my invisibility potion before someone sees me. I go Invisible and look to find the boys, I spot Sirius and stand next to him. Sirius is so handsome, I would love for him to at least know who I am properly but It would be even better if I was his girlfriend. I now she would never like me, his family would never allow it anyway, not that he really cares but I know his family would play a factor in the situation.   

   The rest of them gather around and pile onto the carriage, I get on the back of the Thestral backwards so I can still see the boys. They joke about random stuff and then Jack jumps onto James' shoulder and looks at him. The boys stare at his for a second before freaking out. James flings him off his shoulder and tries to step on him. "STOP!!" I scream and they freeze, I could feel the invisibility fading anyway. I jump onto the carriage and grab Jack who looked very scared. I was only floating organs to them and she looked terrified. I was coming back layer by layer. my skeleton was starting to show.

 "Ok I realize this my be a little scary but it is ok I am not a skeleton but I will be very naked soon if I don't borrow someones robe for a moment" As I finish saying that my skin starts to show and Sirius laughs while Remus hurries to give me his robe. They then realize its me, " I know you guys don't like me but I just feel really scared when I'm not around you guys, I've been wanting to be your friend for years but it never felt like the right moment to say something to you and then on the train I really wanted to introduce myself but I couldn't speak I am very sorry about scaring you but I just have no social skills" I explain lightning fast. 

    My clothes are now visible and I hand Remus his robe, "I understand if you want me to 'shove off' I guess you would say but I just wanted to say that although you guys didn't know me you were the best friends I ever had" I said and before someone could say something I got myself out and teleport myself into the castle. "Erin you know what said about doing that" Dumbledore says and I put my head down and start crying. "I screwed it up Professor, I just wanted them to be my friend but I screwed it all up" I cry and collapse into the floor. "Now now Miss Luvin, I know those boys and if you try again maybe go about it a bit differently" he says it and helps me stand. I nod, but I know that I won't, it's over before it even began.
