Salutations.

Before I start with this book, I would like to introduce myself, why I wrote this, etc.

My name is  Hanna.

I'm 14, as of writing this, and I have a fascination with dark lore, urban legends, tragedies- you know, evil shit.

(Which is ironic, because I'm an overall happy person, as far as I know.)

Anyway, I also love to write, and I'm proud to call this my first book on WattPad.

And I thought I would choose to have the tragedy of the Wilhelm Gustloff (which, if you read the preview, I shouldn't have to explain), as the topic of my first book/biography/whatever-thing.

This is a topic very near and dear to my heart; not because I have a personal connection to it, but because one of my favorite book, Salt to the Sea, by Ruta Sepetys (<-QUEEN) is based around the ship.

And, when I discovered the tragic lore and fate of this ship, that resulted in the deaths almost 10x that of the fatalities of the Titanic, I was absolutely appalled by the fact that the greatest maritime disaster in ALL OF F*CKING HISTORY was unrecognized by the majority of the public... anywhere.

So, I though I would pay my respects to the tragic loss of life, the fate of the ship, and overall loss of life throughout all of WWII.

Lastly, before I lead on to the first chapter, I should say that this ship was run by Nazi's, and the name bares that of an assassinated Nazi, but-

*NEXT TO NONE OF THE REFUGEES ON THIS SHIP WERE OF THE NAZI PARTY*

therefore, I will *not* tolerate any hate/disrespect going towards the fate of the people on this ship, merely because of the flag painted on the ship's bow.

Okay, one more thing (I know I suck)

PLEASE leave a comment on what I should write after this. I would love to know what the public wants to read, and I would be happy to oblige to write whatever you're craving

(as long as it's not like, you know, porn, or like, chicklick or whatever it's called. Just, no sex, okay, I'm 14. It's just 400 shades of wrong. Anything else is fine though :).)

Okay, onto the story.
