Chapter 5: The Date

I finally get to the park at 8:10. Late on your own first date Blake? Damn. "Hey, I was afraid you wouldn't show up." I heard kid say from behind me. "WTF?!?!" I spun around obviously startled. Kid laughed. "You really shouldn't scare me like that." I say while laughing. "So, I want to ask you something.." Kid says slowly. I gulp, "w-what?" I ask. He responded, " Why did you run away from me earlier? Did I hurt you without realizing it?" I smiled cautiously not wanting him to think it was Liz. "No, I just had to rush home that's all.." I say softly. Kid smiles at me. That's it, I have to hug him. So, being the dummy I am, I laughed and then hugged him. I felt him freeze at first, but then he hugged back. Oh my God, did I really just hug him?!? I let go and stared at the ground. Kid was grinning now. "I brought nuts, wanna feed the squirrels?" I asked. Kid laughed, "yeah, sure." We sat down on the bench and waited for a squirrel. Since it was night, only like 3 showed up, but it was still fun to be with Kid. It looked like he was having a good time too. After the squirrels ran off, kid was telling me about how 8 is favorite number because it's symmetrical. I just smiled at him. This is second best to becoming a death scythe. Kid looks at me and smiles so adorably. "Ms. Rosewood.." He says. "Uh, yeah?" I asked. "You're cutest thing in symmetry I have ever met." He smiled. My eyes widened. He just called me cute. And symmetrical, but most importantly at the moment, CUTE! I giggled, "Thank you." Kid walked me home talking about the number 8 again. We stopped talking when we reached my door. I smiled slightly, "g-goodnight Kid." Damn it Blake why do u get so nervous?! He smiles back, "Night, Ms. Rosewood." Kid walked down the steps while I fumbled for my keys. "Oh, I almost forgot." I heard him say behind me. How the hell does he move so fast. I freeze in place. "W-wha?" I asked dumbly. He leaned over my shoulder and kissed my cheek. I was completely frozen now. I don't think I could even move if I wanted to. After the kiss, he walked away. Once he left, I un-froze and found my keys. Once I opened my door I ran into my room and squealed loudly into my pillow. I was happy, but then I remembered. Liz is one of Kid's weapons, she will find out if Kid and I end up dating. I laid down on my bed. Ugh, why is this happening? Why does Liz hate me so much?
