Red Robes and Broken souls

Stuck.

Sitting up in bed I wait for my eyes to adjust before looking around. I'm pretty sure this is not the room I paid for last night. Where am I? What happened last night? All the walls are black and gray and the carpet a white fluff. Looking down at the bed I find myself in a king size bed with a huge fluffy blanket. What is going on?

All of the sudden there's a soft knock on the door and a small head pops through. Lilly. "Oh yay uncle Eros said you were sleeping but I miss you and came to see if you wanted to play with me today!" She runs to the bed and struggles to crawl up next to me. When she makes it she starts to jump up and down on her knees. "Oh please ann please come play with me!"

Suddenly everything that happened last night comes back to me. Oh my gosh what must he think of me! Oh he probably hates me but then why am I here? What could he possibly want from me now? Is he going to hit me now? "Anna?" I look at little Lilly as she climbs onto my lap "Are you going to be my aunt? Mommy said you were!" 

Suddenly the door opens and in walks my biggest fear at the moment. Eros.

"Lilly? What did I tell you Anna needs to rest." His voice was softer than I had heard it since I met him.

"But uncle Eros I missed her and I wanted her to play with me today. Oh please uncle!"she snuggles into me and wraps her little hands around my waist and lays her little head on my chest. Looking down at her I slowly wrap my arms around her. I haven't had a hug since the last time I saw my mom. Now I had a little girl in my arms what has happened to me?

Speaking up for the first time all morning I whisper in her ear "Well how about you take me to the kitchen I'm starving."

"Oh yay!" Jumping up she scrambles off the bed and pulls me off with her and drags me past a smiling alpha as he follows behind me. We pass about three rooms before we come to the stairs. Lilly lets go of my hand and runs down the stairs as fast as she can and I follow behind.

When we make it to the kitchen Lilly crawls up onto the little booth in the corner of the room. "Alright what would you like for breakfast Lilly?"

"Can I have some pancakes aunt Anna?" She gives me the cutest face ever and sticks her lip out in a pout. "Of course you can." Turning around to make my way to the pantry only to run into that dang brick wall again. "Ouch! Would you stop that it really hurts." I look up to glare at him but he just gives me a million dollar smile and moves out of the way. Why is he smiling at me? After what happened last night I'm sure he hates me? What the hell? And most of all why do I want to see that smile every morning I can't let that happen. Stomping to the pantry and fridge I make my way around the house making pancakes. "Yummm who's cooking? "I don't know dude but it smells good let's go check it out." "Pancakes!" "I haven't had breakfast for so long." "I'm so hungry!"

All of the sudden about twenty members of the pack cram into the kitchen. They all look like teens and I know these are the kids getting ready for school. Sitting down they looking like little kids on Christmas. "Anna!" About six of them yell and run around the table pulling me into a giant hug. Until a huge growl rips through the air "mine!"

"Oh Eros be quiet." I growl back. "So you kids heading to school?"

"Yes." Everyone answers.

"Well then you all better eat up." I grab a plate and stack a whole bunch of pancakes onto it. Everyone grabs some and Eros shows up next to me making three plates for me him and Lilly.

After everyone has a plate I make my way over to Eros and take a seat next to him and start eating my own pancakes. After about two bites of my pancakes I hear a bunch of the kids put their dishes in the sink and call out a "Thank you Luna."

All of the sudden I'm not in that room with Eros and the pack I'm not 20 I'm about 18 and my mom had just sat down next to dad he pulls her close to him and kisses her cheek while my brother makes faces and gags. The pack starts to clean up breakfast and they all come by to tell my mom how lovely she looks and thank her while my dad glares at every man, boy or old fart that talks to her.

Suddenly I come to as I feel the glass cup in my hand slip and fall to the floor shattering, I need to get out of here. Scrambling out of my chair I run up the stairs and into the room I woke up in and slam the door behind me. I can't think I can't breath! Running into the bathroom I throw up in the sink and turn on the water letting it run. Then it stops as fast as it came. Slowing my breathing I wash out my mouth the best I can and slide onto the floor. I can't stop crying I miss everything and it's all my fault.

I hadn't realized that Eros had been banging on the door until he threatened to kick it down so slowly I crawled across the floor and open it just enough that he could push it the rest of the way open. I was so sure he would hit me. If I had been with my uncle he would have. But instead he picks me up off the floor and carries me to the bed laying me down he sat next to me and rubbed my cheek while I latched onto his arm holding it to me like it was the last thing I had.

When I finally stopped crying I couldn't help myself I reached up and pulled Eros down next to me and snuggled into his chest. I didn't want to leave him I didn't want to go back to my uncle but I knew I would have to sooner or later. "Who's room is this?" I spoke up.

"Ours." Was his short answer. Sitting up I look at him I need to get out of here I can't stay or I know I won't be able to leave and then someone I love will get hurt. "No, it can't be ours I have to leave Eros! I can't stay here I can't let the people I love get hurt I can't hurt you I just can't." I hurry to get up and grab my phone but Eros pulls me back down onto the bed and leans over me. "No listen to me Anna you can't leave me you are mine and I won't let you go!" He growls at me his eyes turning black.

"You don't know me you don't know him you have to let me go before he comes to take me away!" Adding under my breath "I can't lose the people I love I can't lose my family again."

"No one will take you from me they can't I won't let anyone I don't care who they are they will not have what's mine." Slowly his eyes fade back to their sea of green that I loved so much and his million dollar smile comes onto his face. Oh how I wanted to kiss him. But he just had to ruin it. "Plus that's my mark you wear and you can't leave me now because you're marked as mine." My eyes go wide and I push him down so I'm leaning over him. "You did what!" Running into the bathroom I turn my head to the side and gasp. Running down the side of my neck is the most beautiful mark I had ever seen. Long lines and swirls connect spinning into a picture of a small wolf snuggled into the chest of a big black wolf. He looks down at the little wolf with so much love it hurts. Looking in the mirror at Eros I whisper exactly what I'm thinking "Eros it's beautiful."

"As is the woman who wears it." He answers wrapping his arms around my waist and leaning down to kiss my mark he turns me to face him. "Eros why did you mark me you don't know me, I'm broken and I'm not strong enough to be the luna I'm not strong enough to be of any use to you or the pack, I can't give you strong pups I'm useless. And you know I can't stay" I look at the floor to scared to look in his eyes because I don't want to see the disappointment there.

"Anna look at me." I shake my head no.

"Anna look at me." Again I shake my head no.

Lifting me onto the counter he steps between my legs and gently lifts my head to look in his eyes. "Anna you are stronger than you know, you're beautiful, you're so good with the pack and the kids, and our pups will have the greatest mom ever, plus I want to know you even if it takes the rest of my life. And your not leaving." Looking in his eyes I know he means it but really did he have to? It will just make it that much harder to leave.

Deciding that it's already going to kill me when I leave I lose it and pull his face down to mine and softly touch my lips to his. Pulling back I look back down at the floor again. "Woman what are you doing to me?" Eros growls and grabs my face pulling me into a deep kiss. Pulling him closer to me I wrap my legs around his hips drawing a moan from him I kiss down his neck to the spot my mark is meant to go I suck on that spot slowly dragging my teeth across it I swirl my tongue around and kiss it one last time before I push Eros back and jump down off the counter. "Damit women what was that?" Eros says a little out of breath. Smirking I turn around and sway my hips as I walk over and turn on the water in the shower. Turning back to face Eros I blow him a kiss. "Payback baby. Now get I need to take a shower," I wave my hand at him and start pushing him out the door.
