Now it has been over 2 years, and NO she didn't WIN THE VOICE. Instead, she is making a name for herself as an artist in her own right with Atlantic Records.
"I think the hardest thing (after the show) was to get the people who listened to me to understand that I am a songwriter. And I am a Good one" says Melanie after the show.
After that She was making music of her own. Her first single was Dollhouse. Then a song called Carousel. You guys all know about American Horror Story. So when the creators behind the show reveled the next chapter of scary FX series was going to be circus themed, picking the song for the series to set he mood for the shows trailer was the next logical thing to do. They seemed to find the perfect fit with Melanie Martinez's song "Carousel"
