Outside the sirens were blaring and people all around me were cowering behind desks and hugging each other on the floor. Policemen were at the ready, they already had the building surrounded.

"Jake...You don't have to do this" I yelled over the noise. Jake quickly gave me his attention, his face held something terrifying and angry, "Ohh... But, I do. You have no idea what I've been through!" Jake screamed. "You're right...I don't know what you've been through. But I do know that these people had nothing to do with it" I told him. I looked around at all of the people crouched on the floor, their eyes filled with fear. I looked over at Jake whose eyes were suddenly filled with emotional pain and horror.

He stared back at me as I searched him for some kind of response. He looked at the gun in his hand and dropped it swiftly. Jake made a small noise and looked up at me his sky blue eyes filled with tears. I waited a second before I began approaching him, as I reached for the gun he just stood there staring, letting the tears fall down his face.

I grabbed the glock from it's place and quickly handed it to Luke, who didn't know what to do with it, but took it anyway. I walked to the front of Jake and looked into his eyes and slowly approached him. When I got within arms reach I lifted my hand and gently wiped the tears from his face. He leaned his head into my hand and gradually started hugging me. I wrapped my arms around him and let him cry into my shoulder.

My mind was racing I didn't know what to do, I didn't know what I had just done or how I conjured up the courage to do it. He grabbed me tighter and that's when the floodgates opened and his legs could no longer hold him up. So we both fell to the floor, Jake balling his eyes out and hanging on to me like a leach.

I gently lifted his head and said "You know what you have to do now?" He searched my eyes. Then as another tear rolled down his face he slowly nodded his head yes.

With that Luke had already summoned the officers into the building. They surrounded Jake and I. Their guns pointed in out direction.

I slowly pushed myself away from his grasp and as soon as he let go of my hand two officers jumped on him cuffing his hands behind his back.
