Nick Jones And The Search For A Soul mate.

Chapter three: a new costumer...

Let me explain a process, which is an important concept...

This concept is going to be about Soulmates.

A lot of people dislike the idea that someone was supposedly "made just for them" when people date and marry all the time, ignoring the fact that they have a soulmate...

not everyone knows that people actually do have soulmates, that'll be our secret, because it can get awfully hard to find that person, or if someone else makes you happy, that's fine too.

how do you know if someone's your soulmate?
you don't.
that isn't your job, it's someone who has been gifted with Soulsearch.

what is Soulsearch? simple, allow me to elaborate with a definition:

Soulseach: the gift of seeing soulmate's red string, when the soul has matured enough for one.

what does that mean? simple, it means that when a soulmate pair is ready, the invisible string in between soulmates becomes red, making it easy to see for people with the gift.

basically they can see the red strings of soulmates.

How do you find a Soulsearcher? 
you don't.
you have to know about them, notice them, and find them.

Soulsearchers all have a system, they let the community of non-Soulsearchers and Soulsearchers know where they are and why, and if they're open for business. you can usually pay them to tell you where your soulmate is and/or find them for you.

So basically, find someone who knows someone, who knows someone, who's in a community. every Soulsearch is registered, and there are plenty in some areas, so on the more then likely case, there is one near you, no matter where you are.

  what's the problems then? doesn't this seem a little too perfect?

well, sometimes a soul never does mature enough to have a red string even if the other does. sometimes Soulsearchers are kidnapped and experimented on and/or told to... mess with the strings... and some mess with the strings just to be cruel...

messing with the strings is a no no for ALL Soulsearchers.

basically, Soulsearchers can touch the strings, as well as see them...
meaning they could cut the string... 

If you ever feel like your partner and you are falling out of love, your string has been either tampered with, they weren't your soulmate, or your string was cut.

Even if you aren't in a relationship, but all of the sudden, you feel empty inside? 
your string has been cut and/or tampered with, so your soul needs its other half out of the panic, which causes people to feel lonely.

Of course, feeling lonely doesn't always have to do with the string, sometimes your soul can get so sad, and calls out for other souls, or your soulmate, without any total reason, string wise, i mean.

Now that that's all finished, let's get back to Nick.

Nick sighed out, almost ready to close the shop.

It was really a slow day, not many people came in, only the delivery guys,which gave him the art supplies he wanted to sell at his shop. He had to admit, he didn't know if he enjoyed the relaxation of slow days at the shop, or if he liked the people who came in and talked him out of his boredom.

The ding of the bell above his door promised of a new entertainment. He looked up and saw a young looking business man, though he could tell by the very few wrinkles that the man was older then be looked.

Having a slight unease feeling, Nick put on the best smile he could. The man just smiled back, yet.... something seemed off about him. He didn't seem like a man who enjoys art and drawing....

"Are you Nicholas Katherine Jones?" The man asked...

He never put his full name anywhere... especially his middle name.

"Depends who, might I ask, is asking," Nick told the man, slightly hostile, and ready to bolt.

Even his new dog, Scooby, growled out, ready to defend his new master. This guy was bad news and that ment trouble for Nick.

"A potential client for you, if you corporate," the man said simply, "tell me, do you believe in soulmates?"

And that, was what Nick was waiting for, to confirm his suspicions. The man had asked the question of this current area, meaning this district had its own question for business and pickup line for warning. They change them every month or so, that way if the system is compromised, it won't be for very long.

"I... have heard about that, tell me, what's your employer want with someone who doesn't run the business in this district?" Nick asked, confirming to the man,he understood, if you lied, you could be locked up somewhere if you don't play your cards right after all.

"She has recently divorced a cheating husband, and isn't too happy, even if he wasn't her soulmate," the man answered seriously, meaning this was a tampering with strings kind of job, no wonder they could t go to the main Guy, he would call the protection system on them.

Not that Nick wouldn't, but he doesn't exactly have the same protection as whoever is the main guy for this... which makes a difficult situation.

"Unfortunately, I do not conduct that kind of business anymore, you'll have to find someone else, who is.... more willing to do what you ask," Nick stated, glaring at the man, who turned hostile as well.

"Unfortunately, you're the last one that I haven't killed," he growled out, pulling out throwing knifes, while Scooby got up and growled, ready to pounce.
