You walked up the stairs and to your room. You collapsed on your bed and looked to the window. The stars shone bright through the clear glass.
'Maybe they won't find me here... I can't go back, I refuse...' you thought.
*knock knock*
You jolt up and glance at the door.
"Hey, y/n. I'm sorry to bother you, but Miss Peregrine requests your company for this evening's movie," Emma states opening the door.
"Oh! I'll be there momentarily," you reply with a smile.
With that she closes the door and silence fills the room once again. You get up off the bed and walk to the dresser. You run your hand over a sketch book and a smile creeps to your face.
*crash*
You cock your head around and look at the floor in front of the window. A still arrow lies in a pile of broken glass. You run to the window and glance out furiously. A black figure is seen running off into the night.
You glance down to the arrow to see a white piece of paper tied around it. You pick it up and read it. Your eyes widen at the bold black letters.
WE FOUND YOU
You fall to your knees in disbelief.
'How?? It hasn't even been 24 hours since I arrived."
"Y/n," you hear Millard shout.
You stand up, tuck the paper in your pocket, and walk to the door. You open it then glance one last time to your room before turning off the light.
"Coming!"
