Storm clouds

Chapter 10 Straits.

School went by pretty quick for a change. Even the boring periods were over in no time. Submitting the history paper so quick did buy me a good impression from Mr. Cole, our history sir who turns out to be Sebastian's  sir too.

It was P.E. I had to change into my 'shorts'. Actually I wore a jersey and full-length tights. I couldn't bear shorts. The thought of everyone staring and commenting about my legs itself is enough to give me nightmares. So No Thank You! It's not like they are ugly or something but I just can't.

I pull the messy abyss of my hair into a high pony. All set! Getting out of the lockers room, I immediately find Kelly.

''Hi!'', Kelly squeals.
''Hello!'', I smile back. I wasn't the one who squeals all the time. But it doesn't mean that I didn't squeal at times!

We walked together in the gymnasium. The boy's at the side where busy playing Volley Ball. I am no sport girl so you see, I didn't really care much.

I walked along with Kelly giggling now and then about some guy. I simply nodded and smiled. Every time she said something juicy, Sebastian was always there in my head. Thinking, thinking all the time. Why did I think about him so much! I wasn't gonna fall in love again. Was I?

As the train of thoughts slowly lurked to Desperate City , I tried to change the subject.
Even before I could turn to look behind me, I hear Kelly gasp and the sound of something wheezing past the wind in my direction. A hard substance hits me on  right side of my head.

A searing pain shots through my head, the pain was so unbearable that I loose my balance and seem to fall on the ground in slow motion when strong arms grasp hold of me from behind, breaking the fall. My head wheels back and hits the person's ,what I must think, as chest. Another bolt of unbearable pain surges through me and I surrender to the darkness gratefully.

I blink twice at the searing white ahead of me. The smell of chlorine hit me hard right then when I realized that I was at the infirmary.

My head felt raw and heavy with a continuous dull throbbing that made me feel nauseated. I tried to look towards my side but the slight movement lead to another new level of pain surging through me.

My mind wheels backs to the past event and I remember the firm arms breaking my fall and the familiar warmth spreading through my skin. The feeling could only come from only one single person but how could it be? He was nowhere to be seen and suddenly he was there, my Guardian Angel.

The thought of him made me feel all mushy and where was he now? Many other questions followed me but a single soprano voice broke me out of my trance.

''How are you feeling, honey?'', Nurse Melia sails into the room.

''Here, take this. It will help you feel better.'', she soothes, handing me a glass of clear liquid.

As the liquid trickled through my parched throat, it gave no taste of any sort. Oddly it felt like drinking in cold,humid air.

''Do you want to meet your friends?'', she asks sweetly.

''Yes please.'', I whisper back, my voice rough.

Almost within no time Kate and Cara was by my side, oddly murmuring and soothing comforting words. Cara's face showed more of the tension but Kate had it covered up pretty good.

''Come on, Emma- we are taking you home!'', Kate murmers and ever so slowly lifts me up. With each movement came along a dull throb in my head.

I guess I must have zoned out for I don't even remember walking my way towards the car. Dizzy as I felt, one name kept on drilling itself in my head. With almost no traces of memory we were already driving out and away from school.

''Sebastian? Have you guys seen him anywhere?'', I say weakly.

I don't know if I imagined it but I think I saw them both share a troubled look. Safely tucked in the backseat, I wanted to go back to sleep more than anything but without getting my question answered I didn't want to fall back to the silent darkness.

''Should we tell her?'', Cara whispers.
''Not now.'', Kate whispers back urgently.
Maybe they thought I couldn't hear them.

''He is fine.....'', with almost a tiny bit of hesitation Kate laughs and tells me,''...In fact he was the one who caught you from avoiding more injuries'', Kate tells me from the driving seat.

So it was him. But where was he now? We have plenty of time to think about that Emma, my mind scolds me silently.

''Hmmm...'', I hummed and darkness swept over me once again but this time I let it sail me away from the confusions and pain.

HEY GUYS!! I KNOW I DID UPDATE AFTER A VERY LONG TIME CAUSE I WAS A BIT BUSY I ADMIT AND I AM REALLY SORRY.

AND NOW I AM HERE WITH ANOTHER UNSATISFYING NEWS......I AM TAKING A SHORT BREAK. YES I KNOW ITS REALLY SAD BUT I HAVE MY EXAMS RIGHT INFRONT OF ME AND SO I REALLY HAVE TO STUDY. BUT I SWEAR IF I GET ANY CHANCE OF UPDATING, I WILL AS SOON AS I CAN!
