Onward and Upward (Sam Golbach Fan Fiction)

I was sitting on my bed reading when there was a knock on my door.

"What?" I say, a little annoyed at being interrupted from my book. My roomate, Kyler, sticks her head in the room.

"Hey Nerd, Sam and Colby are coming over. Stop being such a nerd." She says. I pretend to throw my book at her.

"I can't stop being a nerd, Kyler. It's who I am. I can get ready for Sam and Colby though." I say, marking my page and getting off my bed. I go into the kitchen and begin to do the dishes. Sam Golbach and Colby Brock have been mine and Kyler's best friends since pre-k.

"What are they coming over for anyways?" I ask Kyler, moving on from the dishes and starting to clean the counters. She walks into the kitchen and grabs the broom before answering me.

"They're coming over to see us." She says. I nod and go into the living area of the apartment.

A little while later there is a knock on the door.

"It's open." Kyler yells. I give her a look of utter and complete shock.

"Kyler, what if that's a murderer or something?" I say.

"Then we are probably going to die." She says. The door opens and Sam and Colby run in. Sam runs right over to me and gives me a giant hug.

"I've missed you so much, Haleigh." He says, putting me down.

"I've missed you too, Sam." I say, smiling at him.

"KOALAS ARE OFFICIALLY THE BEST ANIMAL EVER THOUGH!" Colby yells.

"Colby, shhh, Mr. Parsons will get all grumpy." I say, laughing and going over to hug Colby. As if he had heard me, which he most likely had, the next thing we hear is a banging from the floor below.

"Quiet down up there ya whipper snappers." Mr.Parsons voice calls through the floor. We all laugh.

"Sorry,Sir. We will try to quiet down." I say, holding back my laughter.

Kyler and Colby walk into the living area, which leaves me and Sam alone.

"Well, I know you're not the type who enjoys Netflix and Chill." I say to Sam.

"You watched the Turn on Video, didn't you?" He said, laughing.

"Maybeeee. Would you like the wifi password?" I say, laughing at him.

"Girl, you know it." Sam says.

"Would you two stop flirting and get in here." Kyler yells. We go into the living area and see Colby holding a bowl of popcorn and Kyler sitting right next to Colby.

"Why don't we go outside and do something?" Sam asks, looking at me and smiling.

"We can, if you want to get soaked." Colby says, pointing out the window. Sam walks over to the window and I follow him. Its raining out. It looks like we are going to have to stay inside.
