Chapter 19

ALCIES POV



I slightly stumbled out from side stage and made my way to the microphone stand.
Okay, good.
I didn't have to told it, so my hands wouldn't shake as bad.
"Uh, hi guys." I began. "Bea couldn't be here so.. I hope you don't mind me filling in." I said with a laugh, hoping to lighten the mood.
The fans in the crowd clapped.
Oh god.
I could hear the music starting.

My que was about to come up.
And suddenly, I felt my mouth move.
"When I was younger I saw, my daddy cry and curse at the wind."

I looked towards Jack. The boy I had grown so close to in the couple weeks I'd physically known him.
His face had a look that I couldn't place.
It worried me but I kept going, looking back to the crowd.

"You are the only exception, you are, the only exception..."
I felt weightless.
Like I was in a dream and this wasn't really happening.

"I know you'll leave me in the morning when you wake up, leave me with some kinda proof it's not a dream.."
Oh god the big note was coming up.
I took the deepest breath I could, trying to prepare myself.
"Ohhhh, woah, ohhh." I breathed out.
I looked over to my amazing group of friends, and my amazing boyfriend.
"And I'm on my way to believing.
Oh, and I'm on, my way to believing."

I was finally done.
I felt my cheeks flame up, realizing what just happened.
"Thank you." I mumbled into the microphone.
I walked off stage to the group of people I'd become so close to over the years I've had my channel.
"H-how bad was it?" I asked unsure.
"BAD?! IT WAS AMAZING OH MY GOD ALICE!" Andrea gushed, pulling me into a hug.
I was suddenly consumed into a group hug.
"O2L is on stage." the security guard stated. Everyone let go, and screams erupted from the crowd.
"Hey! We're Our2ndLife! Let's give another round of applause for Alice!" Sam greeted.
As I watched the O2L boys get started I felt arms wrap around me.
Jack.
"That was utter perfection." he mumbled into my back.
I blushed. "Thanks, you know for a minute I thought you didn't like it."
"What?"
"For a second I thought.."
"Wait what?" he asked again.
He couldn't hear over the sound of the crowd and music as O2L entertained them.
He dragged me back to the dressing room we were previously in.
Ahh, alone and audible at last.
"What did you say, babe? I couldn't hear." he said with a laugh.
"For a second I thought you didn't like it.."
"What?! Why would you think that? You did amazing, it was perfect." He said, kissing my forehead.
"We have 15 minutes until we go on."
He sat down on the couch in the dressing room and patted the seat next to me. I sat down and cuddled into Jack's side as he wrapped his arm around my waist.
"Alice..?"
"Hmm?"
"There's something we need to talk about.. or I need to tell you."
He paused.
Uh oh.
This was it. I knew it was going to happen soon, Today was the last full day of VidCon and we'd leave tomorrow for L.A. This was the end of our fling.
"Look, it's okay I knew it was probably going to be a fling. I'm not mad." I stated, trying to soften the blow he was about to give me.
"Wait, what?" He sounded confused.
"I'm not mad you wanna break up, I mean-" I was cut off.
"Breakup?! God no. Why would? How did you?" he seemed at a lost for words.
"No, Alice...I wanted to say that I think I love you.."
