He was at the wheel of his red Merc, the love of my life was driving me away from reality. I never liked it at home, if we were apart we would be texting or calling. We have been together for a little over a year now, and it has been the best time of my life so far.
I glanced up at him clutching my phone in one had, sweeping my fringe to the side. He wore a concentrated facial expression making me smile sweetly. He takes driving seriously, always keeping his eyes fixed onto the roads unless we have stopped at traffic lights. We first spoke properly in 10th grade. Before that we just noticed eachother. I would be writing carefully into my science book as he doodled on the bottom left corner of my page with a smile spread across his face.
He would draw little cartoons or write messages while the teacher lectured about photosynthesis or some nonsence. We would'nt be listening though, we would be whispering, our conversations ranging from normal to a bit strange. Looking back, i miss those precious moments we spent by eachothers side.My thoughts snapped back into reality, Sam's foot slamming the brakes, hard. My phone slipped from my hand as my neck jolted fowards violently. Sam pressed his hand on my stomach, trying to push me back into my seat while yanking the stearing wheel violently to attept to control the car. It reduced the impact, but not by much.
I spread my arms out infront of me, the force of the dashboard causing my wrists to sprain. The car stopped shaking, and everything fell silent. I turned my head slightly but stopped, gritting my teeth at the pain coursing from my neck to lower spine.
A tear rolled down my blood-soaked cheek; the sight of Sam slumped in the drivers seat making my heart sink. I closed my eyes in pain, the distant sound of ambulance sirens ringing in my ears. Then, everything went dark.-----------------------------------------------------------------
