"Hey guys, so how was the date?" Holly asked sweetly.

"Good, so how did it go here?" Paula asked curiously.

"It was a lot of fun," Dylan replied smiling.

"So girls, is there something that you wanted to ask these men?" Paula said as she helped them remember.

"Um would you like to come to our dance performance tomorrow?" Holly asked straight forward.

"But don't feel like you have to come, it's just an offer. Unless you want to come then you can," Lily said in one breathe. Then Holly placed her hand over Lily's mouth so she would stop talking.

"Holly and Lily, I'm looking forward to attending," Simon replied with a large smile on his face.

"Count me in as well, baby girls I wouldn't miss it for the world," Randy replied grinning.

As a response to the great news that they had just received, Lily ran into Simon's arms. And Holly ran into Randy's arms and then they switched.

"Okay kids go get ready for bed. Dad and I will be back soon," Paula said as the three adults left the room.

As they started down the stairs, Dylan carried his sister into her room and changed her clothes. Lily went into Dylan's room and did as she was told. And Holly took that as a suggestion and instead walked to the staircase and hid so she could hear them and not be seen. Meanwhile, the adults stepped off of the last few steps and walked into the entry.

"So how did the night really go?" Simon asked folding his arms.

"It went well," Randy said smiling. "How was your date?" he asked.

"Good we went to the beach and spent most of the time there," Paula said.

"Whoa, where did you get that diamond ring?" Randy asked looking down at the sparkling ring.

"Oh it's a promise ring from my boyfriend that one day we will be married," she said smiling.

"I love it, and great idea man," Randy replied smiling. "But I have to go, my wife is wondering where I am."

"Okay well thanks again, hang on I have to give you something," she said as she rushed into the family room.

She handed him written out directions on how to get to the dance studio. But upstairs Holly made a mad dash to Dylan's bedroom. As she entered, she immediately closed the door behind her. Dylan and Lily were talking about something but when she got closer to them, they stopped and looked at her. Holly had a surprising yet confused look on her face.

"Holly, what happened?" Dylan asked worried about her.

"Well while I was spying on Mom and Dad, I overheard them talking Uncle Randy about the new ring." Holly said whispering, as she looked at them.

"So what did you find out?" he asked curiously.

"Dad gave it to her because it's a step closer to us being a real family," Holly said.

"So what does that really mean?" Lily asked wondering.

"Okay let's just say the plan is working and soon Dad is going to propose," Holly said explaining what she meant.

"Do we stick with the plan or are we going to make up a new one?" Lily asked as she made eye contact with Holly.

"We stick with the current one and act as if nothing happened," Holly said in a low voice as she got ready for bed.

"Okay sounds good," Dylan said nodding before going back to his comic book.

A few minutes after Randy left, they checked on the kids. Rochelle was fast asleep and the other kids were almost asleep when the door creaked open. They tossed and turned a little bit. Even though the light was still on, Paula still had to go into the room and physically touch their heads. She knew that they were all there but she felt better doing that. Simon stood in the door frame and watched as she made the rounds to each kid. He honestly didn't know why she had to do that but he waited for her to come towards him. Then he quietly closed the door behind them. From there they walked a couple rooms over to Paula's bedroom while holding hands. They kissed one last time before separating. She watched as he walked across the hall and disappeared into his bedroom. She sighed as she wished that she had the courage to walk over to the other side and knock on his door. She knew for a fact that she now wanted to be lying in bed with him and not having to sleep alone. But since she was too nervous she gave up for the night and quietly opened her door and went straight to bed.
