The Mindless Girls

Meet and Greet (Aza's perspective)

   It was an early foggy morning, which is very common for LA. I checked my phone, it was almost time to go pick up Raven, my best friend. She's one of those short, tan, skinny girls with long chestnut colored hair. I've been waiting for this day for 4 months already. Today is the day that me and my best friend get to meet Mindless Behavior.

   I leaped out of bed, almost tripping from excitement. I called Raven and asked what I should wear,

   "Raven! what should I wear today? I have to look super cute in front of them," Raven giggled.

   "Uhm, I think you should wear your jeans with the blue crop top and your black converse," I ran to my closet and grabbed my shoes and crop top.

   I went to my drawer to grab some jeans. I did my makeup and curled my hair. I yelled downstairs to my mom that we had to leave. I ran down the stairs, and down the hallway, stumbling over my own feet.

We got into the car, and I yelled at my mom every 2 minutes to go faster, finally, we were turning the corner to Raven's. As we pulled up to her house, I got out of the still moving car, and she was already running out the door, she literally jumped on me and yelled,

   "HURRY GET BACK IN THE CAR, WE NEED TO GET THERE AND BE THE FIRST ONES!!" We both sprinted to the car and my mom drove us to the mall. As we got there, we saw the line.. oh sweet Jesus, that line was longer than my life.

   We ran over so we could at least be in the middle of the line before the crowd started coming in. We stood outside the store for at least 30 minutes before they opened the doors. As the crowd started pouring in, the line stopped moving.

   "Ugh this is taking forever! I fuckin' told you we needed to leave earlier!" I yelled at Raven. She came back at me with some dumb remark,

   "Sorry, beauty takes time."

   I rolled my eyes at her. When the line started moving, we finally got the the front. We were so excited, we were about to pee our pants. Right when we got to the door, the security stopped us.
"Sorry ladies, I don't know if I'll be able to let you in. There's too many people."

   Raven had a plan, a very brilliant plan. She whispered to me,

   "Just go along with it," She burst out in tears, I looked at her like she just killed someone. But her idea clicked in my mind, I thought of something as fast as I could,

   "Oh, can you please just let us in? she's dying of cancer and this was her only wish.. to meet Mindless Behavior. You don't wanna crush her dreams, now do you?"

   He looked at me and then looked at Raven,

"Alright fine," As we walked through the door, we burst out laughing, "I can't believe that dumb ass security guard believed I had cancer," I just laughed.

   We got closer and closer to where I could see the top of Princeton's Afro. Oh, his cute little Afro. Raven was so excited , she squealed so loud everyone looked at us.

   I saw EJ and Mike motioning for us to come over to them. This was it, the moment we've been waiting for. As we got up to them, Princeton hugged me and I fangirled inside,

   He looked me right in the eyes and asked, "How old are you?"

   I smiled and told him 15. He looked at me and said, "Dammit! I mean that's only 5 years right?"

   I was confused , thinking to myself, what could he mean by that?

   We turned to take the picture and as I was about to leave, he grabbed my hand and said,

   "Wait! I didn't even get your name and number!" I smiled my big ass smile and replied,

"Aza." I wrote down my number and gave it to him, Princeton told me he'd call me right when the meet and greet was over.

   Me and Raven were walking to the door when this cute light skinned 16 year old boy stopped us, he looked at Raven and said,

   " Hey beautiful, Are you from Tennessee? Because your the only 10 I see," I looked at Raven and started laughing.

   "Oh aren't you a charmer?" She told him. He laughed this cute little laugh and said,

   "Haha, You're not leaving 'till I can get your number."

   She rolled her eyes at him and told him to give her his phone. As she put her number in his phone, I noticed him staring at her hard. You could tell this kid had hella heart eyes for Raven.

   She gave back his phone and as he looked at her number,

   He smiled at her and said, "Ight cool, I'll text you right when you leave."

   We walked outside and waited for my mom to pick us up. Raven's phone dinged.

   I looked at her and laughed, "I wonder who that is."

    My mom dropped us off at Raven's house. When we got to her room, my phone rang. I got so excited thinking it was Princeton, when I answered, it wasn't him. It was our friend Jeremiah, who we've known since We were like 6.

   "Aza, meet me at 7/11 and we'll walk to the park!" Jeremiah asked, well, demanded.

   I told him alright and Raven and I adventured to meet Jeremiah at 7/11.

   "I knew Princeton wasn't gonna call me.. I knew it Raven." She looked at me and slapped my hand.

   "Oh shut up, the meet and greet just ended, he obviously thought you were bomb if he asked for your number!" She said back to me in reassurance.

    I thought about it, I guess she's right, he wouldn't have asked for my number , unless he was dared to. That thought made me want to cry but I just smiled the whole way to 7/11.

   "Raven! Aza! What's up!?" I heard Jeremiah yell.

   We all walked to the park, after getting food and drinks and sat at one of the wooden tables next to a big oak tree. Next thing I know, my phone rings. I look at my phone and it's a random number I've never seen before.

   "Do you guys know who this is?" I asked. "No, just answer it!" Jeremiah and Raven yelled together.

   I had a scared look on my face as I answered nervously,

   "Hello?" This hot ass deep voice finally spoke.

   "Hey baby girl, what's up?"  I screamed on the inside.

   "Is this Princeton?" I asked.

   The voice said, "You already know beautiful." Right then and there, I couldn't stop smiling.
