I was walking through the wide hallway all the way to my class, still sad and relatively unamused.

"Hey, you are new?"
"Yeah, do I know you anyhow?" I responded to the unknown girl.
"Um, no. But I'm a student of the next faculty, I'm a major under investigations"
"Oh. Cool. So a detective?"
"Yeah sort of."
"Hm... it's interesting." I replied, as I had never seen a detective to learn detective issues in detective faculties before; and somehow it seemed quite cool and unique.
"So... I'm Alexandra Ericson. You can call me Alexa"
"Clementine Wa- um, Clementine Klein. Call me Clementine."
We shaked hands and she gave me a slight hug and told to catch up at the café at the lunch break. She sounded good by her talks, maybe she's also my type... like Derek. Maybe.

"Hey, isn't it quite far from home to come up to here?"
"Yeah. How do you know?" I asked taking a bite of my hamburger.
"Nobody has a home around here. Everyone passes at least 8-9 kilometers to reach up to the campus."
"Mine is like 13." I said with the bite in my mouth.
"Oh, that's quite far, you should get a room in the hostel. That's quite near the Campus... like 0.5 Kilos."

***

Her words were just hovering my head. The hostel. HOSTEL. I needed a room anyhow to get out of this filthy place. My blood boiled every single minute, my senses disgusted every second. I had to come out. It was almost an hour I wasted thinking about all these. I had to make some quick effort to make it happen.

"Bro?"
"Yeah Clem?" He smiled at me after taking a look at his documents. He must be busy finding something. Maybe it was the wrong time to approach. Maybe he was the one between mom and him who would listen. I was confused until I made my choice and he broke my silence.
"You want to say something?" He approached again leaving the documents and sitting on the couch next to his bed; gesturing me to come and sit next to him. I went.
"Clem? Any problem with your studies? Can I help you in anyway?" He asked over and over. I was quite okay with my studies. The only way he could help me was by bringing my dad back, hopefully. But it was vain thinking about and expecting such things from him, from them.
"Clem, speak up sis. What's the matter? Is something troubling you?"
"Um, I was thinking of something... and I thought of sharing it with you."
"Go on, be free. I'm you brother." He replied, maybe wanting to comfort me.
"The campus is quite big, like really large... with a lot of people and anyways, I need to adapt there..." I tried to move to the topic.
"Yeah, you have to adapt...I had the same problem too when I first got here. I came out of all those thoughts when I got into the hostel, it makes you spend a lot of time there with the people in the campus and you can adapt easily to the circumstances. Maybe you should also get a room in the hostel."
I was trying to drag him to the point, where he was already thinking of sending me there. I tried to act like it's okay in either ways, because if I had shown too much enthusiasm to stay at the hostels, they would doubt that I'm just wanting to leave them and stay separate; then maybe I will again be all over my dad's thoughts.
"So Clem? What do you think? An independent life?" He asked nudging me in the arms.
"Yeah, maybe that would be good you know. Adaption is a hard thing in either way." I answered, neutral.
"Ok, I'll talk to mom." Then he got up and went back to the documents, looking for something.

***
"Clem, I had to tell you something."
"Go on mom." I said taking a spoon of rice.
"You can't go to hostel."
"Why mom?!!" I freaked out, which ended up by brother and mom staring at me.
"What if you start your mania over there?" She said without looking at me and continued, "You don't speak such before us but I know what is always in your mind. And for your own good I don't want you to think about all these."
That kind of made me lose my temper, almost but then I replied, "Mom, I ain't doing that shitty mania stuff again! What's gone is gone! I have you and bro and that's it. Nothing else matters!!" and I left the dining and went to my room being unconscious of what I had spoke there. Whatever I said wasn't true. I love my dad. He always taught me good and this reply of mine was just a fact to let them make me go to the hostel. I had to do it anyway.

After a while, my mom entered the room and sat next to me, taking my hands in hers and said, "You shall go to the hostel, learn to stay in different circumstances. It will be of much use to you in future."

A single fact: They can change their minds every second, but it is my job to engulf that thing and move forward with my own
Choice.

"Ma'am, I wanted to admit my sister in one of the hostel rooms. She need to adapt and stay independent quite a bit. It's getting hard for her to get along with the rules and people over here."
"Sure, let me check a room for her."
"Ma'am she can stay in my room right? I have a bed vacant in mine." Alexa added.
"Okay then, Clem you got to stay with your friend, you can shift here tomorrow."
