"Woo, we got out of the campus." I breathed.
"Dude, this ain't like we escaping or something. The campus allows." She laughed and we reached an arts shop with all artworks and paints, canvas and many more.
"So, looks like..." Alexa started expecting me to complete her sentence.
"Like my room." I completed as so.
"You're cheesy girl. Like real cheese." She said, playfully.

So eventually we bought three canvas and I didn't need the paints a s I already had a new one, my brother had bought me when I was coming to the hostel. So we got back and kept those in our rooms and headed for our respective classes, the major subjects.

Her subject always fascinated me. It was quite interesting as well as mischievous. Like detecting facts and investigating cases, like crime things. And she was quite of an intelligent girl, how she noticed every single fact in my common talks and she got to know my stuff, without asking me or me telling her anything at all. She was a smart ass girl in a way. She was taking a bath and she always took like an hour or two. Though we had two washrooms, we always preferred to keep one of 'em dry. So, I had to wait until she got finished. And therefore, I decided to paint something on the canvas.

"Hey Clem, Whatcha drawing?" She said rubbing the towel in her hair.
I was too concentrated in my drawing to hear her.
"Hey Clem", this time she said louder, "Dude, this looks like an old man, I thought you were gon'na draw your mom, brother and yourself. Who's this?"
"My dad."
She stood there silent, as if I said something terrible. But I didn't react. So I was still doing my painting. I did it half and stopped. I saw a quick smile in her face as I stopped. She handed me the towel and told me to go to the shower. Yeah, I stinked.

I got out of the shower and checked my phone, 3 missed calls from Derek. Okay. I never hesitated to call back people and spend my expensive balance on my phone. So, I called expecting him to receive it."

Phone rings

"Hey, Clementine." He smiled as if he was waiting for my call.
"Yeah Derek, something you wan'na tell?"
"Um, nope."
"You had 3 missed calls flashing on my lock screen." I rolled my eyes though he couldn't see it.
"Hey, why you're being so rude?" He asked annoyed.
"Derek, I don't think you should be calling for no reason." I spat.
"Girl, I just called to make sure you're doing okay. That's it." He said, rather disappointed.
"I don't need anyone to make sure if I'm doing okay. And stop treating me like a baby...just don't call off purpose."

He hung up the phone. Suddenly, I came into face what I just did; what did make me be so rude to Derek? He was always so nice. It was the happiness attitude in me that I had been freed from being with my family whom I secretly hated. And as Derek was my brother Chris's friend; maybe that fact made me numb for a moment and I just did that, for no actual reason...like no reason at all.
