Cameron was your typical sixteen year old. He liked to hang out with friends and party. At one party, though, he met the girl of his dreams. Her name was Abigail. This is what she looked like: Cameron asked her out, and she accepted. They dated for three happy months, until one fateful day. Everyday after school, Cameron would pick a flower fresh from his back yard, and he would walk all the way to Abigail's house to present it to her. Abigail's mom, who was a plump but sweet woman, always answered the door for Cameron. She trusted him, so she didn't mind if he went into her room.

The final bell rang for the school day. I slung my backpack over my shoulder and walked to my locker to get my skateboard. While closing my locker, I saw Abigail walk by with her friends. "Hey babe!" I called to her. Oddly enough, she didn't respond; she just kept talking to her friends. I didn't think much about it, because I know she loves me. I rode home on my skateboard. It was a beautiful day; the sky was a vibrant blue with no trace of a cloud, the birds were chirping, and it was the perfect spring temperature. I got home, threw my skateboard and backpack in my room, and I went to pick a flower for Abigail. As I stepped outside, two gorgeous, lipstick red roses caught my eye. I picked them and headed to my girlfriend's house. I was about halfway there when a beat up truck drove by me. I could already tell it was one of the rednecks from my school. "Hey faggot! Who's that flower for? Your boyfriend?" the fat one driving called out. I laughed and turned to him. "Funny you should ask that; now tell me, how's it like being the father of your sister's baby?" After I blurted that out, I thought for sure he was going to kill me. His brow furrowed in confusion. He turned to his friend in the passenger seat. I have great hearing, so I heard him mumble, "Do you get it?" His friend shook his head no. The fat one turned back to me. "Emo fag," he said and drove away. I laughed at their stupidity and kept walking to Abigail's house. When I got there, like always, I knocked on the front door. Her mom answered the door. "Why hello, Cameron!" she welcomed me with a warm smile. "Hello, Mrs. Daniels! Is Abigail in her room?" I replied. "Hmm, I think so. Here, you can come with me to check," she walked up the stairs. I followed her to Abigail's room. Mrs. Daniels opened the door, and she immediately screamed. "Abigail Renee Daniels! What the hell are you doing?!" she yelled. I looked into her room. She was in her underwear making out with one of the popular guys from school- who was also in his underwear. I felt my heart drop down to my stomach. One of the roses slipped out of my hand. Without a word, I sprinted back home. When I got home, I slammed the door behind me and grabbed a sharp cooking knife from the kitchen. Not thinking of the consequences, I jabbed the knife into my abdomen and collapsed onto the floor. I still clutched the rose in my fist, the blood staining the rose to an even darker red. I felt the life drain out of me. One single tear streaked down my face, and then I was gone                                ---

You ran home from school one day sobbing, because the person you were dating just broke up with you. Cameron's spirit saw you and silently followed you. You busted into your room and pulled out a razor. Aiming to cut one of the main veins in your wrist, you started on the far side of your wrist. While the razor cut into your skin, Cameron worried and tried to seize the blade out of your hand. Now, your cut started from the far end of your wrist, almost made it to the middle vein, but then it somehow twisted back around, making almost a 7 shape. You thought your hand had just slipped. Suddenly, you lost consciousness and fell onto the floor. At this point, Cameron had gone next door to the neighbor's house, turned into a solid form and starting tell him to call 911 because you were losing blood. The paramedics came and took you to the hospital. In the meantime, the neighbors called your parents, since they were at work, to tell them. They rushed to the hospital to see your wrist bandaged up. The doctor assured them that everything would be fine. He advised them to give you some rest. They left the room. You opened your eyes and saw Cameron standing above you. He smiled and said, "Promise me you'll never do that again." You smiled and said, "I promise." With that, Cameron disappeared.
