Without a second thought, I plunged the blade deep into the daemons throat. I wiped the thick, black blood off onto my waistcoat and sheathed the poised blade.
'Lor!' Exclaimed Beth, clearly aggravated. I raised my gaze up to her eyes.
'What?' I replied.
'Hellooo?' She exaggerated the last letter as if I was a child, she knows I hate it.' What do you think?' She twirled, showing off her new dress.
'Well, I erm. It looks great!' I answered with my mind only half here.
'Thanks.' She paused even though I was oblivious that she was talking. 'So I'm gonna get a pizza you want anything?' Beth interrogated.
'I think it looks fine'
'Okay, if I'm gonna stay at yours, I want actually to talk to you,' she emphasised.
'Sorry, I'm sorry. I'm just distracted,' my eyes lowered to the floor. I had never noticed the tiny specks in the carpet. 'Hey look,' I pointed to my eye line. Beth stared at me unamused.
'Look, you pick a film while I go order a couple of pizzas, I think it will do you good if we just chill out for a while.'
Ah she knows me too well. I headed to the dark corner of my room which filled me with pleasure to see the stacks of alphabetically arranged DVDs. It was known I had too much time on my hands, but what better way to spend it than organising my mass collection of DVDs.
Beth entered my bedroom with two pizza boxes in her hands. She dashed towards the bed and handed me the pizza on top.
'Ow hot!' Beth called out. 'A margarita for you and a Hawaiian for me, so what film we watching?' She enquired.
'Well, here I have the choice of the classic, romantic Dirty Dancing or the sad, romantic Love, Rosie. I'm in a romantic feeling. I think it's the pizza.' I exclaimed to Beth. I took a bite of the thick, cheesy pizza, burning the roof of my mouth. As our usual routine goes, Beth handed, me a glass of water. 'To be honest I'm up for either, both if we have time,' I suggested.
