Fanservice and Sexual Harassment in Fairy Tail

I'm not a feminist.

I try not to call sexism on every little thing.

But the effin Fairy Tail manga is out of control, especially when it comes to NaLu.

Yeah, yeah, I get it. NaLu is sooooo canon and obviously that means it's a wonderful ship, right?

Listen, if Natsu did the same stuff to you that he did to Lucy, you would hate the SoB.

In recent spoilers, Natsu grabs Lucy by the ankle so her towel falls off and she's naked!

That's straight up harassment, if not full on  assault.

Natsu grabs her breasts several times, even when she's obviously uncomfortable with him doing so.

He seems to think he has a right to her body.

That's not cute!!!

A boy groping a girl and stripping her isn't cute!!

(not that it's cute the other way around it's just more male on female in this manga)

And even though this isn't Natsu's fault, yet another so-called NaLu moment was forced by nudity in the latest chapters. Lucy has to strip down and lay on top of Natsu in a panel shot from an obviously pornographic angle.

(when I was reading the spoilers, someone commented that the way Lucy is laying on Natsu without showing Natsu's face is a common trope in porn. I don't actually watch porn, and never will.)

There's dozens of other ways she could have warmed him up. But no, Mashima just has to use her as fanservice.

And that's not even half of it.

Mirajane's Satan Soul is just a revealing demon cosplay with absolutely no shame.

Lisanna's Takeovers are all catgirl costumes (and I stg, if any of you NaLu shippers use this to call her a slut...)

Mashima even draws Wendy, who is in a thirteen year old body, in suggestive poses or revealing outfits!

There's one scene where Tauros is being controlled and looks disturbingly like he's going to assault Lucy- what's worse, he previously expresses sexual attraction to her.

GRAY'S TEACHER STRIPPED DOWN IN FRONT OF LITTLE BOYS AND THEN SLEPT IN THE SAME BED WITH THEM!!

I don't care how you frame it. This anime is overdoing it with the sexualization of women and poor Lucy, even though I hate her, is being subjected to awful, crudely sexual situations where she's OBVIOUSLY unhappy because Mashima thinks it's "cute" or "funny".

Listen, it's not! Natsu harassing Lucy isn't "aawww a cute NaLu moment"!

Don't romanticize sexual harassment! It's not fun, and it's not funny!
