Walking into the woods aimlessly, past the welcome sign, and away from the town cars. Looking to find a answer to the question that bounced in my head. What purpose would I have here? I remember coming home from the last day of school, to see moving boxes scattered around the house. This, my first time moving is not hard, considerably since I had no friends. To me it's okay to walk this path of life without any friends.
I turn to a sound of a twig snap, only to see trees and bushes for miles. I shrugged it off and kept walking. Soon a small road came into view with a figure laying there. Curiously I stumble onto the street to find a wolf injured, laying limp on the small road. Slowly walking up to him with my hand out to gain his trust. The wolf looked at me with a pair of shimmering grayish-blue eyes. He nudges me with his head showing that I have earned his trust. Putting my thoughts aside, I take out my phone to call my mom so then she can do her job as a vet. The phone stopped ringing and I ask "Mom?"
"Yes, axel, Sweetie", my mom answered, "Where are you?"
"No time to talk. Come into the woods, a little bit east of the main road, past the welcome sign. I found a injured wolf on a small road." I replied.
A moment later, my moms voice appeared," Ok I think I know where to go. Stay put, be there in 5." Putting up my phone, I look back into his shimmering eyes, this time I felt a little spark, I wonder why? "Everything will be okay." I assured him in a soothing voice. a few mins passed and a roaring rumble soon came into view. My mom rushed over to us and quickly wrapped his wound. " Will he be okay?" I ask, somehow I care about this wolf as if he was my own...

Back at the vet my mom shut me off into the waiting room, patiently sitting down. I feel like I need  to pace back and fourth, as if there is two walls closing in on me. My mind pounces me with thoughts, ones that I don't understand. As soon as my mom walks into the waiting room, I stand quickly but quietly. Silence rapidly took over  between us, I hate that moment where you decide weather the news is good or bad. My mom always does this to me. " Mom stop this isn't funny." I say while holding back tears and keeping in a chuckle that wants to escape. My mom slaps on her evilish grin. Soon she announces that the wolf is okay. A smile formed on my face as I looked down. "Can I see him?" I quietly ask.
"Sure." My mom calmly replied," I'm going to head home, I left you some cash so you can get supper." As she leaves, I walk slowly to the door she came from earlier. I inhaled and exhaled as I place my hand on the cold knob. After I walk in I see him healthy, standing there with a big grin on his face. I look into his eyes and my thoughts instantly disappears.
"Hi boy." I say playfully as he runs up to me. I bend down and cup my hands around his face and shake his fur, "Who's a good boy?!" I see that he sat down and waved his paw at me. While I hold his paw, I ask. "Are you hungry boy?" Then he gets up and starts chasing his tail. I confirm him, "Yeah? Ok. Let's go get you something." Then, I walk out of the room, past the waiting room, and into the office. I Grab a piece of bacon. The sound of the door, opening and closing came into place. I quickly turn and run to the door. My face saddens when I turn to see that the town was empty, no wolf. Except for the weird glow towards the forest. I blinked my eyes, the glow is gone.. maybe I was just imagining it.
