Trigger Warning: Vomit, sick people, slight sass.
When Tyler woke up, the other side of the bed was cold, his boyfriend of a few years missing. Sitting up quickly, he looked around for an indicator of where his favorite pink-haired drummer went. Noticing the bathroom light was on, he swung his legs out of the bed, shivering at the coldness of the floor, and crept toward the slightly ajar door.
"Jishwa? You here?" he mumbled sleepily. After his eyes had completely adjusted to the lighting, he began to fully take in the situation. Josh was sitting next to the toilet, eyes tired and looking slightly green. As Tyler watched, Josh moved his face over the bowl and proceeded to dry-heave into the toilet. "Oh, jeez, um, are you okay, Josh?"
"I'm currently bent over a toilet trying not to vomit my guts out, Ty, does it look like I'm okay?" Josh shot back with a death glare.
"Well, you still somehow look amazingly attractive," Tyler said offhandedly, grinning . "I swear, you look good no matter what you're doing, even barfing into a toilet in our crappy apartment."
Smiling slightly at the comment, Josh opened his mouth to reply but was cut short by another round of retching. Tyler, being the incredibly caring boyfriend that he is, instantly rushed over to Josh's side and gently ran a hand up and down his spine. "Any idea what you could have?"
"Probably the flu, or maybe just a stomach bug. I don't think I have a fever," Josh replied, groaning a bit as he shifted his position on the floor. "I want to go to bed, but I know I'll need to come back soon, so guess I'm stuck here."
"Is there anything I can do for you to make you feel better?" Tyler questioned softly, running a hand through Josh's hair. He smiled to himself as the man leaned into his touch, letting out a quiet yawn.
"Probably nothing other than staying here. I mean, if you want to of course, you don't have to stay, I'm sure you'd like to go to bed, sorry for-" Josh was cut off by Tyler's concerned voice.
"Woah, woah, woah, where did that come from? I'd do so much more than stay in our bathroom with you if it meant you'd feel better, you adorable idiot," Tyler said quietly but forcefully. "Now I'm going to go and get a few blankets and pillows, and we are going to sit here and cuddle until you feel better. Okay? Okay."
With that, Tyler clambered onto his feet and walked out of the door. Opening the hall closet, conveniently located directly in front of the bathroom door, he grabbed a few extra blankets and stopped by their bedroom to pick up some pillows, Josh's eyes trailing him the whole time.
Returning back to the bathroom, Tyler wrapped the thickest blanket around Josh, just realising he was shivering, and settled in next to him, placing the pillows behind their backs to provide a cushion from the wall. Carefully wrapping his arms around Josh's weak form, Tyler gently hugged him to his chest.
"Are you sure you want to stay here with me?" Josh's voice floated up from somewhere near Tyler's sternum. "You'll probably have a wicked sick backache in the morning."
"And you won't?" Tyler replied, half amused at his boyfriend's stubbornness, and half annoyed.
With a quiet groan, Josh buried his face a little deeper into the pillows. "Ugh, fine. But if you decide to leave in the middle of the night, I won't hold it against you."
With a satisfied grin, Tyler leaned back a bit to more comfortably hold Josh, and was able to whisper out a quiet "Good night, Jish," into the darkness before he fell asleep.

Also, I'm sorry if I used their names too much in this, but writing about same-sex couples can be tricky, because of the pronouns. Any advice on this?
