I walked to the window and looked out, making sure that Shadow had gone. I took a deep breath, breathing in the sweet smell of twilight. But I found myself holding it a second later because of what I saw.

In my yard, there was a tree, but that's not what I was staring at. I was staring at the figure behind it. A black mass, standing upright, not too fat, but not exactly thin either. I saw that it was wearing something that looked like a suit, black tux, black pants, white tux shirt underneath the jacket, and a blood red tie. I looked a little higher and saw a white head-shape on broad shoulders. There was something bothering me about its head.

    There was no face.

My eyes widened. Was I seeing the Slenderman? I blinked and the figure mysteriously vanished.

I shut my eyes tight and clamped hand over my mouth to keep from screaming. I felt sick to my stomach and went to lay down for a moment. A lump formed in my throat. What did I just see? I asked myself. I opened my eyes. I sat up on the bed, pondering this. I didn't even notice Tails call that he's home.

"Sonic? I said ' I'm home.'" he repeated as he came up the stairs. Then he saw the horror on my face when he came in my room.

"Sonic, what happened?" He hurried to my bed.

    "I- I........... I- " I gagged, coughed, and tried again. "I saw him."

Tails gave me a look of pure confusion. "Who?" he asked.

    "You know who." I said.

"N- no, Sonic. I- I don't know." he said, now concerned.

A slight smile crept across my face. I started giggling. Then it turned to chuckling. "He's coming for me, Tails." I murmured. "He's coming." Then the chuckling turned to hysterical laughter. I threw my head back and laughed crazily to the ceiling. I laid back down, still laughing so hard. Then, all of a sudden, I shot out of bed and faced Tails.

"Slenderman, Slenderman, all the children try to run," I sang.

Tails stared at me with wide eyes.

"Slenderman, Slenderman, to him it's part of the fun," I sprang at Tails, making him yelp.

"Sonic, this isn't you!" he tried to get my attention.

"Slenderman, Slenderman, dressed in darkest suit and tie, Slenderman, Slenderman, you most certainly will DIE!" I pinned him on the bed.

He looked at me with frightened eyes.

"Slenderman, Slenderman, his branching arms are for collecting, Slenderman, Slenderman, his face is empty of expressing, Slenderman, Slenderman, he won't let you say goodbye, Slenderman, Slenderman," I snarled in his face.

"No." Tails whispered, when he saw me bring out a knife from behind my back.

"You most certainly will DIE." I brought the knife down.

He screamed in fear. I smiled an evil, creepy smile. I got up off of him. He was panting, trying to get his last breath, when......

He realized something. I hadn't stabbed him. I had stabbed the bed beside him.

"Huh?! What?!" he shouted. I laughed normally. "Sonic?!"

"Uh, oh!" I yelped when he jumped off the bed and sprang at me. I ran out of the room.

"Sonic Hedgehog, get your ass back here!!!" I heard a really angry Tails behind me. I ran outside.

I ran, but I didn't put on the super-speed. I thought it would be fun for Tails to catch up to me, so I ran like any ordinary person would. Tails was hot on my tail, and he almost caught up to me when a dark figure approached us. I stopped so abruptly, that Tails bumped into my back and knocked us both over. I looked up from the ground at the figure.

    I didn't see a face.
