Bubbling sound of cooked stew broke the silent in the small wood cabin, post modern style. Surrounded by birch trees, the humble looking cabin lies at the mountain's foot. Two bow windows hanged neatly above the flower bed on each side of the front cabin, between them stand a tall sturdy oak door. A mother figure was still in her apron, watering seedlings of herbs. She called her child with a soft tone.

In the smallest room in the cabin, a no more than seven years old boy was sleeping with his shirt lifted above his chest, revealing a bare tummy and some mosquito bites. He grumbled in his sleep and tried to get up. He answered his mother with eyes half closed.

A long slim arm hovers above his body, sliding the window open.
"Wake up Shae" a black haired woman whispered to his ear "Mom made your favorite deer stew" She swaps away some mosquitos that still lingers near him.

The boy opened his eyes abruptly and rises from his bed. His small round eyes stares right through the woman, in line with the open door that reveals the stew he holds dear. He took the woman's hand and led her to where the food is. Still with a heavy bed hair he yawned his way to the dining table.
"Mum, what's for desert?" He picks up a pair of fork and knife. "Lady did you help mum with it?"

"Yes a bit" the black haired woman nodded. She sat beside the boy and place plates in front of them.

"Addie, Shae, you better start eating if you wanna catch Tom on his way to the city" Mother came to sit with her hand holding a fresh cinnamon rolls.

"Oomph" Shae stuffed his face with a mouthful of meat "Uncle Tom is here?"
"We're coming with?" Lady asked the little boy with her lips full of sugar.

"Eat the meat Lady" He shoved his fork carefully into Lady's mouth "We gonna buy more sweets later. Spare us some cards, mum?"

"Sure, just don't go buy a monkey" She paused "Like last time" Mother took a heavy sigh and smiled at her child.

"No wildlife, I promise" Shae raise his right hand, and slowly crosses his left fingers.

Mother reached her phone and start dialing Tom, she then walked outside the house. Next to the dining table a medium sized television sits a two way hole on a cabinet standing in between marble counters circling the kitchen. Shae reaches the remote and start surfing the channels. He was to focused to his food to even pay attention to the television, he pass the remote to Lady. Swiftly she took the controller and search for news channel. It hasn't been awhile since Lady first experience with machines, but because of her curious demeanor she managed to keep up. She took a glance at the window. The weather wasn't actually nice, although the sun is high up, the cloud seems to covers most of the light. Will the trip still take place, she wonders.

Its been awhile since it last rained, though its not affecting much for their miniature farm. They're not lacking any water since the springs are nearby. They kept five cattle, mostly for their milk, but also to help plowing the farm. They preferably eat meat they got from the city, or by hunting when Father had a time.

Shae jumped from his seat and put the phone to his ear "Yeah?" he answered. He continue to nod his head and mumble something under his breath. "Dad said to watch for channel four, Lady" Shae put his phone down and come sit next to Lady.

The pale woman clicked the remote and rise the volume. The television flickered for a second and reveals a man in a suit, reporting a nearby anomaly. All seemed normal, the man was collected and calm, then the footage came.

The screen shows a couple burned house, mostly heavy damaged. More like a rubble than being called a house. People were scrambling on the road, screams filled the entire scene. The camera then turned to show more people running from all directions. Not sure what the cause is, but panic was printed all over people's faces. And the situation got worse. Two car was seen driving over a couple of a middle aged man. But instead of getting slammed to the ground, both of the man stands in between the collided car. They were seen to be wearing a dark and complicated clothing. Their bright hair waved as the wind blows. The camera couldn't actually catch their faces as they're too far. One of the man lift his leg and push away the car like it was nothing. He brush his hair with his slim fingers, walking towards the cameraman. He licked his lip and grinned, showing row of perfect teeth. He motions his subordinate to move. He then took a step.. and disappears. The camera turned around trying to catch the mysterious figure.
