A/N: before i start this chapter, im so sorry for not posting another chapter its been like 7 months and im really sorry okay but like HERE'S CHAPTER 15 7 MONTHS IN THE MAKING
-On the Train-
My forehead placed on the window, I sighed, little circles of fog forming on the spot I had breathed. Fall had come again, and with it school.
And Draco.
Don't get me wrong, I loved Hogwarts. Always have, always will. But when Draco fell through on our plans of meeting up this summer, I began to seriously doubt our kiss. I had sent him no less than five letters over the course of the summer, and had received exactly zero responses. I initially thought I was being too needy, and that maybe a tawny owl would soar through the window some morning bringing a letter with the Malfoy family crest on it. Autumn and Clara assured me that he would get back to me eventually, to no avail. I waited by the window every morning during the summer, hopefully staring at clouds, but the owl of my dreams never swooped in.
"Hey Sage?" I flipped around, becoming aware of my surroundings for the first time in about an hour. Clara was standing, holding the door open with her hip and giving me a sympathetic look.
"Trolley's here. You want anything?"
"Uhm, no thanks. I ate before I left." Autumn sighed, and Clara shook her head as she turned back outside to the trolley witch to say something inaudible before coming back in loaded with Chocolate Frogs and Pumpkin Pasties.
"Love you Clara." Autumn said, grinning, swiping a pasty from the top of the pile.
"You want anything?" Clara said hopefully, turning away from Autumn, who continuing snatching goodies from Clara's arms. Immediately, Autumn stopped in the middle of chewing and glanced over at me. They were worried about me, I knew that, and I didn't want them to be. So, I smiled and grabbed a Chocolate Frog. With a relieved grin, Clara bit into a pasty and Autumn attacked her fourth Chocolate Frog of the afternoon. I rolled my eyes, laughing at the craziness of my friends as Clara shrieked about a new Chocolate Frog card. Just as I was beginning to have a bit of fun, having a frog race around the compartment, there was a knock. All three of us stopped, and shared a look. I picked up my Chocolate Frog, and sat down on a bench. The smile dropped from Autumn's face, and Clara, ever responsible, went to answer the door.
There stood, in all his disheveled glory, Draco Malfoy.
He looked as if he'd just run a marathon; his normally neat blonde hair was a mess, like he'd run his hands through it many times over, and his pale cheeks were pink. His gray eyes met my brown ones, clouds staring into chocolate, and there was a moment where everything seemed to stop. It was just me and him, and I watched a small smile creep onto his face.
"Hi."
With that one word out of Draco, Clara slammed the door in his face. I blinked in surprise.
"Woah! Clara!" Autumn yelped, getting off the floor and running to open the door. "Sorry Draco! It's just, uhm..."
"Yeah." Draco answered, his eyes finding me again. Clara glared at him, crossing her arms. I knew what she was thinking, so I stood up and walked to the door.
"Guys, I'll be right back." Autumn stood, her stance confrontational, but she nodded. Begrudgingly, so did Clara and I left the compartment, walking down the corridor until I found an empty compartment. Draco, head down, still panting a bit, followed me inside. I closed the door, and flipped around to face him.
"What do you want?" I hissed, crossing my arms. "You go two months, two months, without speaking to me, and now you're trying to talk?" Draco looked confused, and innocently tipped his head towards me.
"What are you talking about? You didn't send me any letters." Draco whispered, frowning. "In fact, I sent you loads of letters. But I didn't get any responses!" Now it was my turn to frown.
"I didn't get anything from you. I thought you may have, uhm, you know..." I trailed off, and stared at my feet.
"Forgotten about you?" Draco whispered, pulling my chin up so he could look at me properly. My cheeks burned, and Draco gave me his signature smirk.
"How could I forget about you Sage?" I smiled, and giggled.
"It's kind of hard to believe, right?" Draco chuckled, and kissed me on the forehead before holding out his elbow like a gentleman.
"Shall we?" Way redder than before, I linked my arm in his, laughing.
"We shall." With that, we walked out of the compartment, finally separating as I walked into my compartment, and Draco, with a little spring in his step, walked to his.A/N: MERRY CHRISTMAS i hope you guys enjoyed this chapter!!
