It was a normal day in Magnolia, the sun was shining, the birds were singing, and in the distance you could here children playing. It was good to be back home. It was music to Casper's delicate Slayer ears. Making her way towards the ever famous Fairy Tail guild hall she stopped and looked down at her chosen outfit for the day. A tight fitting black and purple off shoulder top that cut off just below her breast, revealing not only most of her stomach but her violet guild mark on the left side of her stomach. Black skinny jeans adorned her legs, two heavy chains flowing down her left hip jingled with every step she took and ending at her knee. Her feet were bare as usual, she never cared for shoes, not even winter. She loved the feeling of pavement under her toes or grass tickling the bottoms of her feet.
"Damn, I think I should stop shopping with Lucy, I'm starting to dress like her", She smirked, thinking of the Light of the guild. After almost six months of being in the guild, Lucy was the one person that didn't pity her or pressure her for the scars that adorned her face and back. Smirking again, the scar that ran from the left side of her forehead down to the right side of her jawline stretched just a tad. She knew everyone in the guild was probably curious but nobody needed to know her personal business, she was a private person after all. She didn't need to know every detail about her guild mates and they didn't need to know all of her personal details either.
Resuming her walk towards the guild, her waist length Black, white, and purple streaked hair swayed back and forth with her movements, she allowed the giggling of children bring her to a state of peace as she walked through the park. A few more blocks and she would be at her destination. After almost two weeks of being gone she couldn't wait to see everyone, not that her usually expressionless face showed it, but her violet color eyes sure did. Casper hadn't told the guild she was going to be taking a short leave of absence so the guild was probably wondering where in the hell she had gone, they had grown accustomed to seeing her perched in the rafters on the guildhall watching everyone with amused eyes. She probably should tell them why she had left but she wasn't so sure she was ready to tell everyone any part of her past. Truth was, she had gone to the grave of her foster dragon, Twila. It had been exactly 6 years since the dragon had passed on and Casper still had problems dealing with it. The dragon had sacrificed herself to save Casper, from what the Slayer was unaware. But her mothers final words still rang in her head.
"Live on, Caspy, live on. Do not make my sacrifice meaningless" She had said.
Casper shook her head to rid herself of the depressing last words of the only mother figure she had ever known and looked up to find she had made it back to the guild hall. Deciding to come home with a bang she step back and raised her leg to deliver a powerful kick that put even Lucy's infamous Lucy Kick to shame, blowing the door straight off it's hinges. As the dust settled, she smirked at the surprised looks on the faces of her Nakama.
"Hey, honey, I'm home!", Casper quipped as her raised her hand in the quick salute.
The guild roared in welcome as Casper made her way over to the bar, deciding to sit in the very middle right next to where Lucy was sitting.
"So where'd you run of to, Cassie? I was getting worried, you were gone for awhile and you didn't tell anyone where you were going. We were about to send out a search party.", Lucy said, turning toward her tri-colored haired friend.
"I just had a few personal matters I needed to take care of alone, sorry I didn't say anything about leaving but I didn't want anyone to worry. I didn't exactly need a million questions about where I was going and why, ya know? Everybody has their personal matters that they don't want the world to know." She responded, raising her hand to call Mira over for a cold, tall glass of spiced rum. Mira kept special bottles of it on hand just for her.
