Chapter 1

Hi. I'm Jay. I... don't really know what to do in life. I'm stupid. I'm awkward. I'm not perfect. I'm not much of a 'man'. I'm more of a 'guy'. Anyways, I have what you call a 'double life'. One moment I'm at home, next... well, I'll tell you.

When I was younger, probably 10, I was playing in the woods with my friends. We stumbled upon a cave and, like many would, we decided to explore. But, unlike many, we found something that would change our lives forever...

It was an eternity later. I had lost track of time. But, we treaded on.

Then, finally, we saw a white light. We thought we were dead because, when you die, people say that you see a white light. But, no. We were not dead. My friends were too tired to move on, so they stayed behind and decided to go back to the surface. But I, I kept moving on. I don't know how much time passed while I was in there.

The white light was getting brighter. The source of the light was getting closer...

I had found it. A small crystal laying on the floor. It was shining so bright I had to shield my eyes.

I picked it up and clenched it in my palm...

The next moment, I was in bed. Was it all a dream? Well, yeah. But the crystal wasn't. It was on my dresser. I... I was puzzled. An object from my dreams... in real life? It was confusing. I picked it up and looked at it. It looked like it used to be part of something, kinda like a shard. So, that's what it was. Anyways, back to the present, 5 years later.

Now, every few weeks, I have to harness the power of the mysterious shard to change into a form I call, or the public calls, 'Fenikkusu'.
