It was late at night, Robin was with a couple of friends deep within the forest. The tall, dark trees loomed over them as they sat around a campfire. They were talking about random stuff but after awhile they all decided to play Truth or Dare. Robin had dared someone to lick a tree, everyone found it quite funny except the guy who did it. Then it was Robin's best friends turn, Kat or Kathrine,"Robin! Truth or Dare?" Kat asked excitedly. Robin was feeling confident and answered with dare.
"I choose Dare."
"Ok...um...Ah ha, i know!" Kat exclaimed
"You have to go into that old house over there!"
Robin looked over to where she was pointing. She froze, as she remembered all the stories.
"B-but that p-place is h-haunted!" Robin stuttered
"Are you scared?" Kat said in a teasing tone.
"N-no."
Robin stood up and started walking through the taunting woods. Behind her, she heard 'You can do it!' or 'You go girl!'. Robin took a shaky breath and continued to trudge on until she reached the house. The house was clearer to see, it had white peeling paint, some smashed windows and the roof looked unsteady. Robin grasped the cold, steel door handle with a clammy hand pulling it open slowly. The door creaked as it moved, Robin stepped in quickly and closed the door behind her. Robin made her way down the front hall until she heard a slight creak from upstairs, thinking it was just a stray cat or something Robin went to investigate. She silently moved up the stairs, once at the top Robin looked around the corner and saw a door half way opened. Another creak sounded from the room, Robin became slightly scared of what she might find but was still intrigued. She slowly approached the door and pushed it open. What she was met with made her freeze. An almost human looking boy, maybe in his late teens or young adult, stood in the room, near a rouged, old bed. He had a sickening grin stretched across his face, pale skin, pitch black horns curled back from his head, his shaggy brown hair looked like it was messily cut just under his ears and he had a side sweep fringe that covered his right eye. But his left eye was like an endless black void and dripped with blood.
"Oh, hello there!" he said in a sickly sweet but terrifying voice. "Would you like to play a game?"
he didn't wait for an answer and he continued.
"I know! We could play Hide 'n Seek!" He exclaimed. "You hide and i seek," he chuckled darkly.
That's when Robin noticed his razor sharp teeth, she stumbled back out of fear. Robin's clammy hand landed on a conveniently placed side table. Robin looked back at the 'boy' who stood before her.
"Ok! I'm going to start counting now!" He closed his eyes.
"1,hehe, 2..." his voice seemed to get more demonic as he counted.
"...4, ha, 5..6..." Robin ran, not bothering to stick around, she looked all over the place to hide until she found a hole in the wall just big enough for her to crawl into. Robin backed into the hole and pulled a basket in front of the hole to hide herself better.
"Ready or not here i come!" The demonic voice boomed, Robin started shaking uncontrollably and tried to steady her breathing as she heard footsteps coming closer. Then they came to an abrupt stop, Robin's breath hitched, she waited in defining silence. The basket scraped slowly across the rotting wooden floor.
"Hello again, Poppet!" His sickly sweet voice was back. Robin shivered. The 'boy' pulled her out by her long, curly, black hair. Robin whimpered out of pain, tears stung at the corners of her chocolate eyes and slipped down her pale, freckled cheeks.
"Oh don't cry, Poppet." He frowned slightly but then smiled again, "This will be over soon..."
His voice sounded a bit demonic near the end of his sentence. Once he had said that a black dust surrounded her, the last thing Robin saw was that sickening grin stretched across his face. This was the end.
This is my first story so please don't judge it to hard! Thanks for reading.
