It's Christmas Eve in the Raudenfeld/Cooper household and Amy is doing what she always does; stare at Lauren and try not to get caught. Amy and Lauren are sitting in the living room watching Christmas movies, well Lauren is scowling and typing away on her phone and Amy is chewing on her hoodie string and watching Lauren. She's watching the way Lauren's forehead wrinkles as she focuses on her phone and the way she sticks the tip of her tongue out of the corner of her mouth as she types furiously away on some form of social media.

Amy had a special gift hid in her pocket and another gift hidden away for Lauren but she was so nervous to make a move because once she did then all her cards were on the table. Amy had a secret, she was in love with Lauren. Lauren Cooper. As in Lauren Cooper, her own step sister. Lauren had been in Amy's life for a little over 2 years and ever since the first day, Amy had been attracted to the tiny blonde. Amy was ready to risk it all and the time was now. Lauren's dad and Amy's mom were at dinner so if Amy was going to make her move, she had to do it now.

Amy was going to test the waters, "Hey Lauren, what are looking at?"
Lauren stopped typing for a second and looked up at Amy who was still chewing on her hoodie string, and Lauren knew what that meant, Amy was nervous about something. It didn't matter if it was about a test or asking a girl out or anything else, when Amy chewed on her hoodie sleeves or strings, she was super nervous about something but Lauren would let it go for now.
"I'm trying to get a croquembouche for tomorrow but no place is open that's in driving distance."
Amy chuckled, that is one of her favorite words even if she couldn't say it, "Croquenboshe." Lauren rolled her eyes but was smiling nonetheless, "It's croquembouche, cro-quem-bouche."

Lauren had put her phone away and was actually getting into the movie that was playing but Amy was still only paying half attention to it, she was in deep thought about how she was going to go about what she had planned. Lauren must have caught on to Amy's spacing out, "Alright Amy, what's up?" Amy's head snapped towards Lauren's direction, "Umm what do you mean?" "Oh come on, you've been spacing out all night and you haven't stopped chewing on that poor hoodie, I mean the strings are starting to fray and the sleeves are soaked. What's going on with you. You only get like this when you're really nervous about something."

Amy had to do this now, but she had to start off slowly, "I'm just nervous you won't like your gift. I put a lot of thought and work into it."
Lauren was kind of taken aback, "Amy, you were nice enough to get me a gift, and it sounds like a really nice gift. I'm going to love it no matter what it is. I thought we agreed on a 50 dollar limit though?"
Amy gave a shy smile, "I kind of broke that agreement because I got you the gift on our agreed range but that's for tomorrow, I have one for you tonight plus there's more to it than that. Here I'll go get it." Amy rushed to her room to get the gift and to hide her blushing cheeks while Lauren was trying to find some words to form a sentence.

Amy was in her room grabbing Lauren's special gift but her mind was going a mile a minute, "Okay, Calm down, you got this, you've been waiting for this for so long. Go show her how much you love her."
Amy walked back into the living room and gave the decorated box to Lauren, "Oh Amy, this is so wonderful, thank you."
Amy watched with rapt attention as Lauren opened the box and started to examine the items inside. Lauren started to pull out pieces of paper and she realized they were drawings of her. They were so incredibly detailed, one was of her sitting on the couch wrapped in a blanket, one was of her sitting at the table working on something, and another one was just of her face, she had a bright smile that she reserved for only special occasions. She had no idea Amy could draw like this, "Amy, these are so beautiful. I don't know what to say, I've never received any gift as special as this. I absolutely love them. I had no idea you could draw like this." "No one knows I can do it. Not even Karma but I'm really happy you love them. I was really nervous about giving them to you. There is something else in the bottom of the box."

Lauren looked surprised and looked inside to find a small velvet box and Lauren gave Amy a genuine smile, "Amy, you're spoiling me." Lauren opened the box to reveal a silver necklace and on the end there was a heart wity something engraved into the surface and it read, "Lauren Cooper & Amy Raudenfeld." Lauren looked up at Amy with tears threatening to spill over, "Amy, thank you so much for all of this. This is the nicest thing anyone has done for me. Can you put it on me, please?"
Amy was overjoyed that everything was going so well and only one more thing to do, "Of course, come over to the kitchen so I can see you in a better light." Lauren found that odd because the lights were all the same but she obliged. Amy put the necklace on Lauren and when she turned around, Amy put the final piece together, "There, it looks great on you.... Oh look at that, it's the mistletoe."
Lauren barely had time before Amy's lips were on hers, the kiss didn't last more than a few seconds but Lauren definitely felt something intense during those few seconds and when Amy went to pull away, she already missed the contact.

Amy stood back and she couldn't read the look on Lauren's face so she began to panic, "Shit, I messed up, I'm sorry!" She then tried to run but Lauren grabbed a hold of her, and for someone so tiny, Lauren had a hell of a grip. "Amy please stop for a second. Is this what all this has been about? The nerves, the continuous staring, the beautiful gifts. Was this all to show me you like me?" "I don't just like you, I think I'm in love with you. Ever since you first moved here, I've just been attracted to you. I know your my step sister but I can't help it. I've tried to deny these feelings but I couldn't, so today I wanted to put it all out there. I had to know if you would ever return my feelings. I understand if you don't and I'm sorry I kissed you without asking and I hope you're not mad or upset and please don't freak out." Amy was rambling and she knew it but she was freaking out and couldn't help it, "I understand if you don't want to ever talk to me again." Lauren grabbed Amy and brought her in close and pulled her down as she stood on her tippy toes to be able to kiss Amy again. That intense feeling was there again and Lauren knew what it was, she liked Amy and maybe she always had. Amy was always there for her and Amy was the only person that she could let her walls down and be herself around. The two finally pulled apart because air was a necessity but the goofy grin on Amy's was a special sight to see. "Amy, I think I may have always had hidden feelings for you buy I would like to see where they lead." "Are you saying we're going to give us a try?" Lauren took Amy's hands into her own, "That's exactly what I'm saying." "Lauren, you have no idea how long I've waited for this. You've just made me the happiest girl on the planet." Amy went in for another kiss and then pulled Lauren in for a hug as she nuzzled up against Amy. "Merry Christmas Lauren." "Merry Christmas Amy."
