With the boys helping me pack and Dean helping me finish my photography work, it was done a lot quicker than expected meaning I had more time on my hands. It had been arranged for myself, Connor, Dad and Ann to go up to Manchester to visit Joe and Ed at uni on Wednesday and Thursday just as Tristan and I had planned. My room was beginning to look emptied than ever and almost unlived in as there were no clothes clustering the floor, no random pieces of paper scattered over my desk like they once had been. Everything was packed leaving only the clothes I was going to wear over the next couple of day in my wardrobe. The only memory of being there once I had gone would be the collage running across one of the walls, the one which captured so many special moments throughout my lifetime. I plucked a few from there place on the wall, ready to put them into the huge suitcase which I would obviously be taking with me.
The first I took was one of me kissing dad's cheek as he laughed, mum crouched by my side and the twins pulling goofy faces at each other. I remembered the day well, it was the first time I'd seen snow and I was so excited, I couldn't control myself. I'd forced mum and dad to take us to the park so we could play yet spent the whole day complaining because it was so cold and I had a wet bum from falling over so many times.
The next photo was obviously the one of me and Tristan from the night I arrived, pen covering our faces, laughing as we took the picture. His messy handwriting on the back comforted me, this way I always knew I had part of him with me.
Flicking over to the next photo I'd taken down, I saw one of myself and Connor after we'd been on a long walk. Dad and Ann forced us to get up at 6am so we go on a 3 hour walk, although it ended up taking over 7 hours as we got hopelessly lost and weren't able to find our way home. Whilst dad went to prepare dinner, Connor and I had sat on the sofa and had instantly fallen asleep only to be woken up by the flash of dad's camera. I had to admit to photo was pretty cute and the first time Brad saw it he told me that it captured what our lives were about, sleeping.
Brad featured in the next two photos, the first being of just the 2 of us. We had our backs to the camera and we were holding hands and we walked down the dirt track to Charleas house. Brad had leant in to kiss me on the cheek but he noticed the camera pointing at us. He told me that the others were taking pictures of us so we simultaneously turned around and stuck our tongues out at them.
The next one was of all of us. James, Sara, Connor, Charlea, Tristan, Brad and I all standing in the woods. We'd gone to have a camp out but our plans were ruined when the heavens opened and it began to pour down with rain. Typical England.
"Elle, the boys are ready to film when you are" Joe's voice came from my doorway.
"I'll be done in a second, there's just a few more things I need to pack" I told him, wiping away the tears which were forming in my eyes. I heard him leave so I put the photos in my bag, touched up my make up and headed down to the studio. The boys were in their places when I got there, waiting for me to take my place in between Brad and Con. We'd convinced Tristan to sing a verse by himself and one with me as the fans had requested hearing him more.
Brad:
Hey there Delilah
What's it like in New York City?
I'm a thousand miles away
But girl, tonight you look so pretty
Yes you do
Times Square can't shine as bright as you
I swear it's true
Elle:
All my bags are packed I'm ready to go
I'm standin' here outside your door
I hate to wake you up to say goodbye
