I thought to walk around and talk to my education advisor about my cover up for the syllabus, as I was new; so I got out of the room and just went to my advisor's home...as she was not in the campus, her home was just two blocks away from the campus. When I was on my way, I saw Derek, standing against a wall just next to the home of my advisor. It was quite surprising to see him over there. God knows what he was doing here. As he was not noticing me, I didn't bother to go to him and talk.
So, I took a step towards my advisor's place and rang the doorbell.

"Hello Ms. Klein, come in", she invited me inside and I took a seat in the living room as she continued, "So, what brought you here all of a sudden, are your studies going okay?" She asked me, worried.

"Yes, actually I needed someone to talk about..."
"Tell me, it's okay."
"I want to meet my family, for some day..."
"But you didn't complete your syllabus, and I don't think the authorities will take give you the permission to meet your family all out of nowhere."
"But I need this, it's an emergency. Please, with your permission it would be okay. I promise I'll study harder when I come back"

Anyhow, she grants me the chance, and talks to the den for me, then I put an application; it luckily gets accepted. Relief. I needed to meet them, especially my mom; as I was falling weak after talking to her on phone. My brother was right, I'm a hell of a weak person.

Alexa was still not back, I also hadn't seen Derek when I was returning on my way; I decide to call Alexa and tell her about my absence for 2 days, but then I thought I would tell her about it in the hostel, while packing up my stuff.

"Are you serious?" She asks as she enters the room to have a view of me packing clothes.

"I know...I'll be off for 2 days only."

"But without asking us?" She pokes me on my back, annoyed.

"Listen, Alexa. I. am. Going. To. See. My mother." I said in a slightly harsh tone.

"You know that we are in the middle of a..."

"To hell with your solutions! My mom called me today and cried, called me sweetie. She misses me!! I'm such an asshole! She cries and misses me all the freaking time and I am here picking-info-about-her-to-support-my-very-dead-dad! She is my mother too! I need to take care of her too! I owe her a meet at least; I don't need your permission to do that!" I shouted against her.

She stood there in silence, and when I was moving out of the door, I saw a feeling for saying sorry in her eyes; where I was the who's supposed to be doing that. She didn't pronounce a word and I didn't look back, just pressed the elevator and went in it.
