Subject: The year is three thousand, there is a war brewing but there is also fear. Not just of bombs or chances... there are mutants! Living among the civilians. Do not focus on these creatures though, we are taking care of that ourselves. China, Italy, Japan and the United States are in alliance. No further word from the higher ups about those neutral countries like Turkey and Poland. There are more bases forming, a few near the capital and more along the coast near New York state. Jack, a cyborg soldier. That is highly trained turned off the news and headed out. So far his directions are to get to the airport, catch his plane ride to the capital to be stationed at one of the north bases. He knows that no matter where he is stationed they will call him cold as metal and a sharpshooter. Jack wants his devotion noted...not that you could get him to admit it, even under torture. What Jack does not know about mutants is not much and what he is about to learn. Might surprise you as much as it did his lieutenant. Mean while Sofia, a mutant that has lived at the capital for a year and a half with her little brother Rossi and other mutants. Sofia is sitting on the gray paved road, cold as it was. Not far from a newly built fort. With a piece of canvas and a few hand made paints and paintbrushes, painting dawn next to sunrise. Trying to shake off the pain she received that morning. From her older brother, though Sofia was never sorry for her standing up for Rossi. After all he's only nine, she is sixteen and stronger and has been trained. Not to go against her kind, but the morals were the same. Some of the other mutants had once thought of Sofia as weak, because of her emotions. Then Sofia reminded them of her strength. Compared to humans, she does not have any emotions, but the rear of the members of the pact are far worse. Jack awoke at five, dressed and gathered his things. He was rather thankful for his water proof upgrade. Seeing that it was raining hard outside. Jack left his house with a bag on his back and a gray umbrella over his head. Stepped out through his moon blue door and down the cold gray steps to the awaiting cab that was to take him a few blocks from the airport. Before he rounds a corner, gives the keyword, enters through the gate and continues to a helicopter that is to take him from Sardinia, Italy to the capital of the United States. Figured that would be plenty of time for his mind to regain it's sharp focus. After loosing his little sister to a mutant his determination has grown. That is to say his will to kill every mutant has gotten stronger. Jack thought of himself one more time. What he has explained enough but not enough yet. That being a cyborg does not make him a monster, it just improves him. Monsters are not made of steel. As he steps off the helicopter that carried him. Jack walked a few miles toward the north base and notices a girl with long strawberry blonde hair and dark pink lips. Her tan skin, plaid shirt and bluejeans. Remembering he still had a hour or two before his meeting with the lieutenant. While wondering what she is painting, he slows his pace a little but does not intend to converse. Jack hears her humming quietly then suddenly she turns around and says" huh"? In return he look at her with an appealingly upset face. Sofia then asks him " are you okay, sir"? Then Jack asks in return "don't I look it"? Sofia replies "Not if you ask me". As she turns back to her painting. Jack says" Monsters are not made of metal." Then Sofia mumbles, " Is that what they are told"? Jack hears her but does not understand so he asks her" Did you say something, lady"? Slightly bothered and surprised by being called lady and not miss or little girl; Sofia asks him in return," Would it matter"? Jack responds by saying, "That depends". Sofia asks, "On what"? Jack says," It depends On what you said". Sofia replies more calmly," I was just wondering if you learned that your self." Jack says,"Yes, I did". Then asks,"Could I know why you were thinking that". Sofia then simply says,"I was just curious because of the other men that pass through here". Jack, sounding rehearsed tells Sofia, " My body does not make me a monster, it just improves me". Then Sofia says,"I can understand that, sir". Next Jack replies ,"I guess we have nothing else to talk about". Which Sofia informs him that she thinks that is not true but turns back to her painting. Expecting him to just walk away and toward the base.

She continued painting for a moment until she heard Lieutenant's voice, which sent a shiver down her spine just as Jack glanced in her direction. Think she must be cold he took a step closer. Before opening his mouth to speak, just in time to be cut off by Lieutenant't direction before regaining her composure and seeming brave again. Jack didn't take her eyes off of her as he walked a few steps towards the Lieutenant decided to only look at Sofia for now.
