'So Emma, did you hear?' I said across a green lunch table, in front of me was my daily tomato pasta. Cammie was sitting on one side of me and Amy another while I was across from Emma.
'Hear what?' She asked me taking a bite of a sausage roll. I tried not to laugh and said, 'I heard from Mia who heard from Cameron who heard from Benji that, Jay wants you back,'
Emma went quite red. Juel and another girl Emily who has black hair with blonde dip-dye who is a popular type, they were sitting next to her both with shocked faces.
'Hey guys!' Jay walked over to our table to see the normal gossip, 'Why is everyone dead shocked and Emma quite red?' He asked looking around the table. Everyone just started eating again apart from Emma who snapped her lunch box closed and put it in her bag, 'So you coming all coming to the field then?' Jay asked, he looked at Emma then he turned his head and looked at me, 'Course,' Emma replied before I could say anything.
With that Juel moved for her to get out and Emma, Cammie and Jay walked to the field together. Once they had gone I turned to look at my pasta again. I stared at it and thought, Is Max so in love with Emma now, that Emma is just not even attracted to Jay anymore.
But then I thought, Max is to in love with Emma to realise I look at him all the time and laugh at his jokes. I'm probably dead to him.
