Chapter 1: Packing to Leave Home

Since I was about 5 I loved playing with little matchbox cars or Hot Wheels. Then when I was around 9 I watched pretty much every Fast and the Furious as soon as one of the movies came out year after year. Then I started having the love for cars around 13. Then at the age of 15 I started going to tech at school times since you can go to tech. Then here I am at the age of 17 asking my dad if I can learn race. It didn’t turn out so good.

‘Dad! Why not? All I ask is to learn to race!’ I said for about the fiftieth time. And every time I did he said “its not ladylike” or “its dangerous.”

‘Ashton! I’ve had enough! You are not going to learn to race or anything for that matter! It’s final!’ He yelled. His face was bright red.

‘That is complete BULLSHIT! You didn’t even think about it! And why can’t I do this? Because I’m not your perfect just like Joshua? Huh? Is that it because I don’t have perfect grades like him? Huh?!?!’ I screamed at him. And Joshua is my older brother by a year he’s a senior while I’m a junior. He’s perfect my parents said. And to add to it my whole family is practically rich. Its ridiculous. I think the money goes to their heads.

WHACK!!  Now he never hit me. Now before you go to conclusion I am not a spoiled brat you see in movies. I never ask for anything and this is about the first time I ever asked for anything.

‘THAT’S IT!! IN TWO DAYS YOU BETTER HAVE ALL YOUR THINGS PACKED! I’LL HAVE ONE OF MY SISTERS HAVE YOU LIVE AT THEIR PLACE! YOU BETTER BELIEVE IT!’ He bellowed. And I’ve done it. There is no turning back and no apologizing.  Lovely! Just. Fucking. Lovely. So now I ran to my room.  I started packing as soon as I got up to my room. It was a good size for all my things. My bedroom was painted a crimson red, the floor was hardwood. And one of my walls was a chalk board and it had a door just like it that opened to my walk-in closet. Then I had three huge windows that covered from the floor to the ceiling. My bed was right in front of the windows. In front my bed on the wall in front of my bed hung my fifty inch flat screen TV. Then I had just below it shelves of video games and movies and most of the games were like NEED FOR SPEED. And the last wall sat my metal desk and red fluffy chair.  And on the desk sat my Apple laptop and my Samsung Galaxy S4. After I finished packing my clothes. I heard my door open.

‘What do you want.’ I said with venom dripping from my words.

‘Dad told me to tell you that you are going to Aunt Jenn.’ I heard my brother say softly. I groaned in response. Aunt Jenn is my dads twin though they look and act nothing alike. And Aunt Jenn is a very wealthy fashion designer for Jax and Co. And majorly girly and lives in northern California while we live in Southern California. She lives in a city called Lincoln while we live near Santa Ana.

‘Thanks Josh.’ I said. I loved my brother. I mean we have that brother/sister relationship where we can fight one minute then be all like “lets watch a movie” type thing. You know what I mean? And we look really nothing alike I mean yeah we both have brown hair but he has blue/green eyes like my mother and I have brownish/greenish eyes I get from my dad but my dad has blonde hair while my mother had dark brown hair we both inherited. But I have curly/ wavy hair down a little past my shoulders, while he has straight short hair.  And he’s the star basketball player and gets straight A’s. I can practically fix a car from scratch and get C’s and B’s.
