There was a girl. Who always sat in the middle of the group. Always the center of attention. Always smiling, and laughing, and outgoing. And then everything changed. She wore more long sleeves. She had an artificial smile, her eyes seeing but not believing. She had broken. And no one had noticed. Or rather no one cared. If just one person didn't believe her "What? I'm fine"'s she could have been saved. But she wasn't. It continued, unnoticed for 3 years. Each day piling up until one day it was too much. The unthinkable happened and no one was prepared for it. The girl who thought no one cared was gone. In her note it said so much that was never understood before. Thats when everyone got it, every joke that was ever made towards her had built up. She had taken every single insult in and let in strangle her. The obsessive eating that everyone saw was just to hide her the fact she was bulimic. Her esophagus was burning away slowly and she was letting it. She let a lot of things happen. The blade cut her skin the scar count escalated. Her classmates now got why she wore black long sleeves in july. Why she wore bandages around her wrists whenever something wasn't long enough to cover past her forearm. Reading on they learned about the posts on Facebook. They had known it had hurt her at the time. But they didn't know how bad. After all she hadn't known the person. That made it worse. Because it made it look annonymous, regardless that that post was attached to a name. It was personal. Instead of hearing that unknown persons voice she heard her own. Hearing her own voice made it seem true, and thats what nailed her coffin closed. The girl herself had made everything bad about herself the truth. Disclosed in the suicide letter was her box of blades, empty pill bottles that her mother didn't notice, and most importantly her suicide journal. In it was every bad thing anyone had ever said to her. It describes how she went day to day. How she truly felt. And the most shocking thing, she had felt like this for 8 of her 16 years. That girls death shook everyones life. Because after all she was the girl everyone had seen laughing, smiling, happy. That girl had been the center of attention. So she had to be okay, right?..
