What I Didn't Do

Over the years I got to know,

My friend's laugh and her friendly glow.

My friendship dies when she's forced to go,

I pray to God to tell her no.

But then I realize what I've done,

I never put her number one.

I never told her I Love You.

That it could make me feel so blue.

With her laughter ringing in my ears,

I see my life through constant tears.

I continue to long for her,

Wishing things back as they were.
