Chapter 2

Elise

I stare at the mirror once more it was already 9:00pm time flies when you don't want it too I grab my keys and phone and double check to make sure everything's in place before I leave out my apartment. I was beyond nervous at this point and I couldn't help but get more and more annoyed I couldn't understand my emotions. 

I make my way to my bike and pull it out into the halls and lock my door behind me, luckily Angelo's is only ten mins away because I dread taking the bus some creep always try to talk to me , once I had a guy try to follow me home.

ten minutes later

I finally make it there. I put my bike on a near by pole I chain it up and lock it. I slowly make my way to the front door hearing the music from the outside karaoke night is every night here. Angelo's is a chill spot for most college students here in the Bay Area. It's pretty dope and has this edgy feel to it which is why I enjoy coming here but sadly I don't come as often as I use too because of my busy schedule but I use to spend a lot of time here. The owner was pretty cool and he and I often had pretty interesting conversations.

I make my way in inhaling the bomb foods and alcohol. Yep. Hasn't changed a bit. Which is good. I look around for the guy but don't see him so I take a seat at a empty table, and enjoy the music coming from some guy on stage I couldn't get a good look at him because of the swooning groupies that were standing and others who were turnt to his music. Once he was done everyone clapped and screamed I clapped screamed no not that type of person I mean he's human people act like performers are Gods or something. People went back to their usual selves and danced to some more music or ate or socialized with their friends.

"Hey there haven't seen you in a while what can I get you to drink?" asked Matt the owner

"Oh yeah I've been busy but can I have a coke no ice?" I asked politely

"Coming right up sweetheart." he said as he walked away I smiled and pulled out my phone and checked the time 9:30pm. Late....once again. I shrugged it off and started playing candy crush for about 5mins until I felt someone hovering over me. I looked up slowly and saw him and I blushed a bit he caught me completely off guard.

"Oh hi" I laughed nervously

"Hey sorry I'm late I'm just not making a good first impression at all am I?" He smiled as he took a seat. I laughed softly at his joke.

"You're fine things happen." I said

"Yeah things happen..." he trailed off a bit and stared at me 

"What?" I asked 

"Nothing you're just....really beautiful" he said with a charming smile. I felt my cheeks burning and I couldn't hide it.

"Oh thanks you're very handsome." I smiled

"Thanks sweetheart, but about your camera..." He pulled out a camera that looked exactly like my old one. 

"I bought another one but had my friend reprogram all of your photos and I must say I'm impressed with your work." he smiled as he handed it to me

"Really thanks I never showed anyone." I say as I look at the camera.

"Why not? You have serious talent" he said confused

"I just don't think I'm that good honestly I love doing it but I always feel likes somethings missing from it ya know?" I say as I look up to him

"Yeah I can understand that sometimes I feel that way about my music." he says

"Oh really what kind of music do you make?" I ask

"I rap...you didn't hear me up there?" he laughed

"Oh! That was you?! You're really good." I say in amazement 

"Yeah I'm a rapper not too big yet but I'm getting there." he smiles

"You'll make it with talent like that" I say and smile "So will you Elise."

"Yeah....I hope." I laugh softly

"Maybe we could work together someday, I think that'd be pretty dope." he smiles back 

"Here you go young lady." Matt sets my drink down and I thank him and he looks over at Daniel.

"Ohhhh you guysss are?-" I cut him off quickly

"No...just-"

"No yet." says Daniel causing me to blush

"Alrighty I'll let you two continue on now." Matt smiles and walks away.

"Not yet?" I say with my brow raised, mhmmm this could be quite interesting.

"I mean I really want to get to know you more...if you don't mind of course." He smiles showing his perfect teeth and I smile back.

"Yeah that's coo." I say blushing to the max.

2 hours later

"I really enjoyed myself Elise you have like no idea how great it feels to just have a real conversation." He says. We literally spent two hours just getting to know each other and it was great. I honestly didn't want to leave. But right now he's walking me to my bike as slow as possible to savor each second we have together. 

"I really enjoyed myself Daniel hopefully we can chill again soon." I say as I remove the chain from the pole on my bike and kick up the kickstand. 

"Yeah I stay in New York but I'll be here for a good 3 months on business." I was happy he was staying but 3 months would fly by.

"Well I hope you enjoy yourself while you're here." I say as I climb onto the seat. He steps closer to me literally eye to eye.

"As long as I get to spend most of my time with you I'm sure I will." He backs away slowly and I for the fifth thousand time blush.

"Yeah...well I gotta go see you around." I say as I step on the petal.

"Be safe sweetheart." He smiles and starts to walk towards a black car.

Okay I'm officially feeling him. I can't hide it.

30 minutes later

 I arrive home quickly and flop right onto my bed after a long shower. I begin to put my bonnet on when I receive a message. 

"Daniel"

I smile and open the message.

-Hey you're probably sleeping but I couldn't stop thinking about you lol hopefully that doesn't make me sound like a creep. You really made my night. But anyway sleep well sweetheart. ;)

I smile softly he's so sweet. I replied with a kissy face and saying you made mine to good night. 

That night I thought about him as I listened to "11:11 You" until I fell asleep.
