"So, you've stolen Aaron AND Justin from me?"
--------------------------------------------------------
I stare at her, a little shocked by her choice of words. "Excuse me?" I manage to choke out. She stared at me, her eyes piercing through mine. She took a step forward, inches from me. She looked down at me with firey eyes that sent chills down my body. She smiled and plucked a piece of hair from my shoulder within her thumb and index finger. "I don't know that much about you. But I know I don't like you. I want you to stay away from Aaron and Justin.  I came back for a reason, and I don't expect some homely little nerd to get in the way." Her words bit at me, and my breath hitched in my throat. I looked down, a little embarrassed by the name.
She laughed, a noise that sounded like angels had perfected, and tilted my chin up to face her. "You didn't really think this would last, did you?" She asked rhetorically, but a hint of amusement in her voice. "A guy like Aaron and a girl like you would never work. You guys are on completely different social levels. I am on his level, and you, are not."
I open my mouth to speak, but before any words can come out, the kitchen door flies open and I look up to see a confused Aaron. "What's taking you guys so  long? Here, let me help you." We walks over to us and picks up some sodas. Avalon skims her hand down his arm and smiles at me, showing her perfect strait teeth. "Thank you babe." He looks at her and smiles , then turns his head to me and gives me a look that gives nothing away, but at the last second, he gives me a sheepish smile that doesn't reach his eyes. I see a tint of sympathy, and if I'm not wrong, regret.
