Chapter 1

Snake's POV

1993

Long time ago, in the dangerous places of Afghanistan, Soviet soldiers were patrolling arounf their camp. It's night, cold, dark and quiet. My enemies unaware of my presence, they thought their night was gonna go well but not for long. The Soviet held captive a creature, with it they were working on a new project. They started to develop a weapon, to communicate with other creatures like it. The creature was transferred here and it's the key to the weapon. I must extract the creature to Mother Base before it can call others like it. Scientists were studying it, said that it can talk and kill. I saw what that thing can do. It's appearance is more like a jellyfish with teeth and a brain, it's an alien. It killed many soldiers, sucked their blood and face off. Where did they came from? What do they want? My mission is clear to send it to base.

In the distance I was watching my enemies guard it, Quiet by my side. Aiming and shooting soldiers for me to make my way easier. The whole camp had tight security. As I walk fast to the alien there was a problem, the creature was expecting me. As if it felt me getting close to it, how? "Kept you waiting huh?" I said after I killed two men in a tent. I was close, Quiet kept an eye out. I stopped when I spotted Psycho Mantis and...Eli. What is he doing here? Quiet aims at him, I told her not to do it, instead I told her to shoot on my command. Eli became a young man, working with Psycho Mantis, why would they want that creature? I have to send them somewhere else so I can extract the alien.

Quiet moves to a new position and aims at a barrel, well...multiple barrels. She's going to do an explosion and kill the remaining soldiers. I throw a decoy right in the middle of them, all the soldiers exploded right after they saw the fake me and Quiet shot one barrel when they were close. The blast made the sand scatter around, making a little sandstorm, Eli and Psycho walk to the explosion site and distracted I run to the alien. It focuses on me, I've never seen anything like this. It is calm and doesn't make a threat, I do the extraction ASAP.

The extraction was successful until Psycho spotted me and I start to run fast requesting a helicopter to pick us up. Eli chases me after being told, I drop landmines to distract them. Quiet shoots them making Eli hurt his legs, they stop before we get in the chopper.

The mission was complete, now to investigate what the creature is.
