Terica Nowak was not surprised when her cousins put frogs in her bed. Not even mad.
Terica's cousins Fred and George were pranksters . The red headed twins always aimed their pranks at her. Since she got to their house three days ago for Christmas they had dyed her hair rainbow , given a gag gift, dumped a bucket of water on her head , and-- minutes ago-- put frogs in her bed.
To tell the truth, she was just simply frustrated . Swearing under her breathing , she moved swiftly down the hall and ran down the stairs .Her long blonde hair flew in her face as her brown eyes scanned the room for the twins. They were nowhere to be found. In all liklihood, they were probably hanging out with Roger, her younger brother .
Both she and Roger were staying at the Weasleys for Christmas, since her parents were on a trip. Mrs. Nowak was a cousin of Arthur Weasley. While her mother had long red hair, both her and Roger had blond like Mr.Nowak. Also unlike her WHOLE family she was very small.
Rather suddenly, Terica heard a loud bang. Turning around, she saw a flash of red whip by. The twins.
"GET BACK HERE RIGHT NOW, YOU TWO!" Terica yelled at the top of her lungs.
From where they ran to, she heard "Terica has a temper as short as her."
That's very rude she thought not like I could pick my height.
"Actually, Freddie, I think the only thing shorter than Terica is her temper."
Terica silently contemplated her options-- she wasn't mad before, but after commenting on her height? Yeah, now she was mad. She could chase after them, potentially dunk their heads into the toilets... though, she wasn't quite sure she could reach their heads to get ahold of them.
Perhaps she could set off fireworks in their room at an early hour... though, she didn't want to see how Arthur reacted to getting woken up early for no particular reason...
She shuddered at the thought.
But then it came to her, rather suddenly, and as Fred and George poked their heads around the corner of the staircase, Terica couldn't help the wicked grin that rose to her face.
"I don't like the look she's giving us," Fred mumbles.
"I know, that's the look WE give people." George responds.
"Fred, George," Terica addresses them with a sickly sweetness in her voice. "You can either direct your pranking at Ron for the rest of the holiday, or you can send a love letter directly to Lavender Brown, it's your choice."
Fred and George look at each other, eyebrows raised, then back at Terica. "And why exactly would we do either, dearest cousin?"
"Well, it could be that, if you don't, my hand may slip and send the love potion in my luggage to Lavender anyways, alongside the framed photo of you two dweebs on the mantle. Maybe I'll even send it in some delicious sweets, wrapped up in lovely heart printed paper."
"You wouldn't." Fred warns.
"Try me, twinny." Terica spits back. "If I wake up to another frog, you're gonna wake up to a mouth breather with curly hair."
"Welp," George pats his brother's shoulder. "I'm surrendering then. Have fun with Lavender, bro. I think I'll go prank Ginny instead."
"But Ginny's reactions aren't nearly as fun," Fred sighs.
"MOUTH BREATHER." Terica reminds him, and Fred finally holds up his hands.
"Fine, fine. You win, Terica." Fred slowly backs away, and begins walking up the stairs with his brother. "Oh, one last thing--" He pokes his head back around and Terica crosses her arms. "If you don't want to see anymore frogs-- maybe be the second person to shower... definitely not the first."
Terica raises an eyebrow, but all the questions she was formulating in her head were answered when a loud shriek is heard from the upstairs bathroom.
"I'M GOING TO BLOODY KILL YOU, GEORGE." Ron's voice echoes down the staircase.
"Ooh, perhaps Ginny will have the better reactions afterall!"
Terica let out a breath of relief as the twins hustled up the stairs. She pitied Ginny, just a little bit.
But not enough to be the twin's victims again. There was nothing she pitied that much.
