she opened her eyes with a soft sigh falling from her lips. the black of her eyelids was gone, replaced by the back and grey of her room. what was the point of opening her eyes then? her heavy eyelids slipped back down to their closed state and her hand moved from her blanket to her stomach.

her mind filled with words, reminding her:
To die, to sleep
No more than by a sleep to say we and dthe heartache and the thousand natural shocks that flesh is heir to
'tis a consummation devoutly to be wished
to die, to sleep
To sleep; perchance to dream- ay there's the rub
For in that sleep of death...what dreams may come?

A deafening sound of birds made her look to the side at the small device giving it. She took it in her hands that weren't much bigger and her thumb tapped on the illumination in the middle.

it's just a light but it holds significance to us

Leaving the device on the bed, the girl got up, unprepared for the day. She hummed a soft, melancholy melody as she took the bright yellow jacket from the closet. She slapped a smile on, slipping her phone into her back pocket and walking down the stairs.

"Good morning" she smiled at her father. He looked at her without replying and nodded softly.

"I looked at your grades this morning"

"...oh?" The girl swallowed.

"98% in art?" she looked at the man and took a soft breath. "Fix it today"

"I'm sorry. I'll fix it as soon as possible" she said, her shoes on her feet as she walked out of the apartment.

A/n: it's short I tried haha it'll get better I have good ideas for this it's 3AM and I have work tomorrow gn
