One Shot Love

The skies were dark just like my life now... and it didn't help that my new uniform was killing me. Tight one piece with 6 inch heels. But hey it's a paycheck and I need all the money I can get.

I made a drastic mistake when I was a former NIS agent. I fell for my boss. Agent leader Bang Yong guk..

I was his subordinate and dating was strictly forbidden. We liked to break the rules every now and again. But then we got caught. He fired me. Now I'm a normal citizen working minimum wage as a waitress at a bar. A normal nobody. Its been 5 years since i've seen him last. I wonder if he is still the same as I remember him? Does he still think of me like I think of him?

My shift was over. Time to get out of these horrific clothes. I unzip and breathe in and out. I open my locker door for my change of clothes and start heading out. Well that was the plan anyway.

-thud-

I look down and see an envelope with no address or sender information on it and it fell out of my locker. What in the world? I pick it up and see no one around so I open it.

I'll come and pick it up when I need it. Keep it safe until then.

Keep it safe? What? I check the envelope again and see an indent and took out this random USB.

A USB? I find it suspicious. Someone knows my past. Who would send this if they didn't know who I was or what I used to do. My heart was beating fast. I was on a mission and I couldn't fail it. Keep this USB safe.

I change and put the USB in my bag. I take off.

I start walking home in the darkness. I stupidly think it was a good idea to take a short cut this time. Seeing as how at any moment I feel like my feet would scream in pain.

Suddenly.

"AJjjjjsfdjnksdjvn" someone just covered my mouth and started draggin me somewhere. What the hell!

I had my eyes closed and was scared for my life.

Its him. Yong guk .

"Hey its me, you got my letter right wheres the USB? Hand it to me." He spoke in a whisper.

"Oh here." I spoke softly and hand him the USB.

"Im sorry to get you wrapped into all this again." He said to me with a deep gaze. He looks the same as I remember. My warrior.

"Its ok. Don't sweat it. Its your job." I said.

He looks at me sadly and walks away.

All of a sudden I see a gun pointed at his head.

"OH my God" I said.

"You thought you could run away with such important documents." This man spoke in anger.

"and you even brought in a former agent to help you. How efficient of you." He said.

"She has nothing to do with this." He spoke with a fierce tongue.

"You really messed up this time. Haven't you?" I said to him.

Suddenly I see the in shadows other punks with weapons threatening us to hand over the documents.

No one messes with the dream team you sons of bitches!

I rush into the crowd of jackasses and kick left and right making them drop their weapons.

Meanwhile Yong guk manages to kick the gun out of the guys hand and keep him in a head lock.

I stare the enemy down and with a last smile I kick him where it hurts. In His Pride.

They all cowered.

"Lets go to the safe house. They could have called for reinforcement." Yongguk says to me.

I nod and he drags me to our old safe house we used back during our missions.

"This place hasn't changed." I spoke

"Yeah. Everythings the same." He replied staring at me. I stare back. This reunion was not at all how I imagined it to go down.

" Hows you're new job." He asks

" Other than the awful uniform its manageable." I replied.

" Why are you still working this dangerous job. You could have been killed tonight." I ask questioning his morals.

" I think I asked you the same question when I was still your team leader back at the agency." He spoke with irony. He looked amused. He smiled. I missed that smile more than anything.

" Look im sorry I dragged you into all this again." He said apologetically.

" Its your job. I don't blame you." I said.

" I know but if I had not fallen in love with you then you would still be here by my side. With me protecting you." He said

I look at him with a deep gaze.

" If I hadn't fallen In love with you I wouldn't have had to make the hardest choice in my life when I fired you."

" It was the right thing to do Yong guk. We had to focus on our missions." I said

" Yeah well I made up a new mission this time and I plan to follow through this time." He stated with a hurt voice.

" My new mission in life was to find you again. No matter what. Protect you with all I got." He said as he walked closer to me and bowed on one knee.

I look at him shocked. Tears are threatening to shed.

" Y/n. Please find it in your heart to forgive this agent in breaking the rules in leaving his unit to escape that life and come after you." He said with a box in his hand. He opens it and I see the most beautiful ring I have ever seen.

" Marry me. Y/n." He said

I shed a tear.

" How could you say you left the agency when you were on a mission just now." I said.

" Because this USB has my file. The NIS has no idea I snuck into my own file instead of the documents these jackasses were looking for. I had to make it believable so I could do this." He said and opened his laptop took the USB and opened the files with all his information and he pressed DELETE.

"Now I don't exist in the agency. They wont look for me and im free." He spoke with such relief.

" Now I plan to make you the happiest woman in the world. My Y/n." He looked at me with such a gaze. Its like when we first met. Im falling all over again.

" Bang Yongguk. I love you. Yes I will marry you." I give him my answer. He picks me up twirls me around and kisses me with such desperation. I kiss him back showing all my emotion.

We took off and started our new life together.

We had one shot to live the life we want. Our One Shot at love.
