The Start Of A New Beginning
Alexia's POV
The time has finally come. I have been waiting for this for so long now.
'This is your time to shine to show the world what you are truly made of', I mentally tell myself while looking at my reflection in the mirror in front of me. I continued having conversation with myself, ' I know that I am way too shy to actually do anything in front of anyone especially when I'm competing against other talented girls for One Direction's opening act throughout their tour. I was so sure that I am totally going to mess up this amazing opportunity.
"Alexia!" My mother calls out from the kitchen downstairs. I gasp at the sudden voice echoed throughout the house.
"Get downstairs now! We're going to be late!" She demands, including a harsh tone in her voice.
I quickly run down the stairs, almost tripping as I regain myself afterwards.
"You are so clumsy." My sister taunts me. I give her a glare while I grit my teeth. My sister and I definitely do not get along well. "I thought you threatened to not talk to you considering the trouble I caused after the party." I remind her, earning a scoff from her. I didn't even caused her that much trouble. I didn't even remember causing her one! "Yeah, whatever " She replies, rolling her eyes at me before pushing her way towards mom.
"If we don't go now, you girls will be late for the audition." She states, turning her attention to her phone, typing a message to one of her workers.
"Yeah." We respond in unison, glaring at each other before moving towards the door as we get out of the house.
Today, I really want to prove my worth to my mom and my so called sister. They always think that I am just good for nothing because I am shy.
"I am going to win today mom, and then I will have the tour with One Direction." Liza says in a tone of overconfidence in her voice, as if she is directing it to me.
I am not bothered to answer her back, at the same time I know that in a way she was right that there is a huge chance that I won't even be able to sing in front of them.
After a really long journey, we reach the audition stadium. The only thing I see are the heads of thousands of people. There was no chance that i would even be able to be selected for top 20 in the competition. The only chance I need is a miracle.
