Chapter 14

We got to the hotel. Bailey calmed down. Jenny was talking to her about movie choices now. I called Damon. I went into the bathroom to give them privacy. He answered on the first ring.

"You guys at the hotel?"

"Yeah."

"This is what my mom said to do, be extremely careful. Don't go places alone. Make sure no one is following you. That kind of stuff. My mom is sending me a body guard just in case they come after me, I wish I could get you guys one, but bodyguards are really hard to find."

"I understand. I hate to admit this, but I'm scared. What if something happens to Bailey or Jenny?"

"I'm so sorry for bringing you into this world."

"Jenny says it's been happening way longer than the public knew about me and you. So it's probably the same that Dad died for."

"Really? So it's not my fault?"

"Yeah! It's someone that knows about the arranged thing."

"These doesn't look good."

"I know. Thank you for talking to Bailey."

"You're welcome. She needed it. And so did you."

"Yeah."

"I gotta go. Natalie needs help."

"Okay. Be safe."

"You too."

"Bye."

I hanged up. Just hearing his voice made me more calm. I walked out. Bailey was sleeping. Jenny was watching some tv. I slip into the bed with Bailey. I fell asleep.

When I woke up, everyone was sleeping. I look at the time. 20 minutes early. Cool. I jumped into the shower. I got dressed in jeans and t-shirt. I didn't feel like trying. It was only Tuesday. Ugh. I woke up Bailey and Jenny. We went downstairs to have breakfast together. Then I took Bailey and I to school.

After school, I picked up Bailey. I drove us over to Natalie's. I work today. We got there. I got greeted with a kiss from Damon. His kisses were addicting. Allison was working with Natalie. We chatted about school and stuff. Damon was playing with Bailey, because she asked him too.

Work went by fast. I txted Jenny to ask if she wanted to get to know Damon through dinner. She said that would be perfect. So after work, we had Damon follow us.

We got to the resturant. We were going to Olive Garden. Damon followed Bailey in, holding my hand. Jenny was already there. So we walked over to her. We sat down.

"It's nice seeing you again, Damon."

"You too, Jenny."

"Bailey how was school?" Jenny asked.

"Good. Sup, I like going to Nat-Nats more than school. Now that Damon is playing with."

"I see." Damon smiles.

"So Damon, how are you liking our town?"

"It's quiet which is nice."

"I bet."

The waiter took our drink orders and our food order.

"You guys will never guess what happened at the office today!" Jenny said.

"That one strange guy finally got fired!" I said. She frowned.

"How did you know?"

"Sixth sense. What happened?"
